Our history starts when cars were made with wooden spokes and rumble seats at Goeffe Street in New Haven. Since 1927, over three generations, the Theroux family has been restoring cars to their original form and beauty. ? You might have known? Ken Theroux, or my Great Uncle Eddie, or remember that we used to be on Putnam Avenue before the 1989 tornado. ? Ken and Eddie have passed, and Doug? runs the shop now,? a stone???‚¬?„?s throw from Quinnipiac University. ? Even after all these years, we`re still passionate about producing quality results for those who take pride in their car.

They left me with a vehicle that was dangerous to drive. I went in there to change tires. I have unidirectional wheels. I asked them to make sure all are pointed the same way. They were mixed up on a previous visit. They brought my vehicle around and my wheels were not corrected. Apparently there was no communication from the front office to the back shop area or vice versa. So they took it in the back agai... view moren. They brought my vehicle around again and said "You are all set". I decided to ck my tire pressure before leaving. I had 14 lbs of pressure in one front tire and 50 lbs of pressure in the other front tire. I had a talk with the manager and asked him "Why are they giving me a vehicle that is unsafe to drive"? It went in the back again. I was very nice to them the whole time and felt mistreated at the least. I saved my own life by measuring the tire pressures myself before I drove off in what they claimed would be "safe tires." Be careful. I could have been in an accident had I not checked myself.
