Reviews:

Very Positive Experience with Susan D`Aprice et al
Saturday, April 7th we went to Hoffman and were greeted by Susan D`Aprice, a relatively new salesperson at the dealership. Susan was very personable and totally unpretentious, totally different from our experience at Gengras Volvo.

We threw all kinds of questions at Susan and when she didn`t have the answer, she turned to TJ, a more experienced sales associate who jumped right in and assisted.

After a ... view morelong discussion, we narrowed down out choice to the 2012 Honda EXL. Susan got keys and showed us abuot 6 different vehicles before we finally went out for a test drive. Both Bob and I got to drive putting 12 miles on the car before returning to the dealership to broker the deal.

We were clear with Susan what we wanted and what we would be bringing in for a trade in. After tough bargaining with the manager, Steve, we finally left with a deal that was mutually beneficial.

We left the dealership with list in information and documentation that we needed to provide during the day on Monday in order to drive away Monday night with the car we chose.

Totally unexpectedly, the Volvo decided to crap out on us on the way to the closing at the dealership. Even worse, we ended up arriving by flatbed.

When we arrived, there was a brief discussion with Steve, the man who offered us a set dollar value for the Volvo sight unseen and knowing of the previously disclosed engine issues. After the discussion with Steve, we began the final paperwork.

Susan had told us there would be a wait as there were already 3 cars scheduled to close ahead of us. Brilliantly, she noticed that there was no one in with the finance manager, Drew, and she arranged for us to do that component of the closing first, instead of last.

While we were in with Drew, Susan had the shop prep the car and she took it out and filled the gas tank. When we finished the financing, again, we met with Susan who had the car waiting by the door for us. She helped us with the final inspection of the vehicle before opening the door for each of us and wishing us the very best of luck.

In all of our experiences buying vehicles over many decades, this was THE MOST POSITIVE EXPERIENCE EVER!

BTW ... total time from when we walked through the door to the time we drove away, 55 minutes.

Looking for a Honda? Go to Hoffman and ask for SUSAN LANE D`APRICE.

Positive Experience
Justin was my service rep and he did a great job, getting me checked in, explaining the service and keeping me posted throughout the process. The service tech was thorough and found an issue with my car. Justin tracked down my extended warranty and the problem was taken care of while I waited. Everyone was friendly and professional. I will continue to use Hoffman to service my vehicle.

A Dealership You Can Trust
I have leased cars exclusively from Hoffman Honda since the early 1990s. I have encountered courteous sales, financial and service people during every part of the process. Hoffman service is dependable, cars are a good value and I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone.

Hoffman Driven By Trust ...
I had to write my comments after reading the two negative comments posted before me. I have been purchasing cars from Hoffman Honda since I began to drive, before that my Father bought his cars ONLY from Jeffrey Hoffman. We consider them, family not only car sales and service. The go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied. You will not please everyone when dealing with the public, but they sure do try. and the... view morese two postings, I would consider the exception and not the norm. I can post that the two salespersons that people had issues with are no longer with Hoffman. The Hoffman Honda Staff headed by Steve Dunham (GM) is the most experienced , polished , professional and caring people that I have encountered. Steve oversees each and every deal. He makes sure that you are taken care of in all ways. He makes sure that the decission, process and transaction are the most smooth and THE BEST decision for the customer. His background and expertise in the automotive field allow him to think ahead and offer suggestions and ideas that you would never thing of (at least I didn`t) Even after the sale takes place, Steve makes sure that your vehicle is being taken care of by service, He is the Complete General Manager. As for service, I cannot say enough about the service I have received from my ""preferred advisor"" Rocky. He is the most trustworthy and respected advisor I have met. He makes sure he understands the problem as well as well as your needs and situation. He explains everything so that you understand and answers all questions. I hope this will help you in making your next choice, I know I will not deal with anyone other than Hoffman. Thank you to all of Hoffman Auto.

Avoid this Dealership and Service Center
I had two very bad experienced with Hoffman Honda. First, I went to Hoffman Honda to buy out the lease on my car. The salesperson (Karan) was terrible - it took hours and hours to get it taken care of and I waited over 4 hours just to see the finance person. Then, a few days after the most difficult and annoying car buying experience I ever had, I received and email from Karan introducing himself to me and saying ... view morethat my former salesperson is no longer at Hoffman. He obviously had no idea who he was emailing or that I had just spent a miserable 7 hours with him 3 days before. Horrible customer service. A few months later I decided to give Hoffman Honda a 2nd chance with service. I made an appointment for 9:30am. After waiting in a line of 8 people, I finally met with someone at 10:15 - 45 minutes of standing in line. The woman was very rude and abrasive. When I asked about the shuttle I had confirmed with Hoffman Honda a few days earlier, she rudely told me that there are so shuttles on Saturday. I told her that I confirmed one just the day before and she rudely told me I must have been mistaken. Then she basically told me I was nuts to have purchased the extended warranty Hoffman sales people pressured me into getting (which I was nuts for getting). Overall, I would never recommend Hoffman Honda to anyone for either sales or service. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else.

Don`t deal w/ HoffmanHonda especially salesman Anton Smith!
Monday of this week I call Hoffman Honda in Simsbury, CT to inquire about the only Acura they had on their website. I was told, the car had a deposit on it but had not yet sold and if it fell through they would call me. This Saturday morning at 8:30am (way to early) I received a call that woke me up. It was Anton and he said the deal on the Acura fell though and I could come down at 3pm to look at the car. I am 1 ?? h... view moreours away so I told him I had to rearrange my day and would call him back to confirm. Later that morning I called him back and left a message confirming I would be there around 3pm. At 2:30pm I received a call from Anton saying he saw my call but did not bother to listen to the message. I told him I was about an hour away. I arrive at the dealer and found Anton immediately, he was in the middle of something so he said hold on a minute. After 10 minutes of just standing there being ignored by him, I asked him where on the lot I could find the car. He would not answer the question and again said just a ?ˆ?one minute.?ˆ? After another 5 minutes of being ignored I found him again and told him explicitly I was not leaving, but was going to go outside to browse the lot and look for the car. After looking for the car for 15 minutes with no luck, I went back inside and found Anton now on the phone with another customer (he had never bothered to look for me outside). After waiting in front of his desk for another 10 minutes he got off the phone and walked right past us and serviced another customer. I politely told him we were now in a hurry and he said ?ˆ?32 seconds.?ˆ? Five minutes later (over 45 minute after first talking to him face to face), Anton finally came over to us. I asked again to see the car and he said ?ˆ?oh it sold but we have this Honda over here?ˆ¦?ˆ? I then asked him why he did not bother to call me to tell me the car had sold and he said he was ?ˆ?too busy?ˆ?. I then asked why he didn?ˆ™t tell me the car had sold when we first walked into the dealer over 45 minutes ago. The look on Anton?ˆ™s face said it all, he just wanted to sell me any car. Anton then fully admitted that he knew the car was sold before we even walked into the dealership. So not only did he not bother to call me or tell me when he spoke to me at 2:30pm, but he then hung us out to dry for almost an hour in the dealership. We immediately walked out of the dealer. I seriously doubt the Acura was even available again and in my opinion he used it as bait and switch to get us down there. Cannot believe a salesman thinks my time (3+ hours) was worth nothing and would be so disrespectful. The sales manager, William Sam, did not seem to care either. Please be wary of Mr. Bowtie Anton Smith and Hoffman Honda!
