The company?s wholesale side of things, including the storage of lots and lots of glass, is in Pueblo West.Jay Picco and George Morrone, the owners, and Dave Meadows, the general manager, are all Pueblo West residents, making Mountain West Glass a truly hometown business.The wholesale portion of Mountain West Glass has been operating since January of 2007, but at the beginning of this year Morrone and Picco decided they wanted to make the business into a full-line glass shop.??We wanted to turn retail and have a full line of service - auto, residential and commercial,?? Morrone said. ??All phases, including installation and wholesale.??Customer service is of utmost importance to Mountain West Glass. Picco, Morrone and Meadows said they know in Pueblo that word-of-mouth works, and they want to build a great reputation throughout the area.??When people think of needing glass, we want our name to come up,?? Meadows said. ??That?s what we?re trying to get to.??Morrone added that pleasing the customer is their top priority.??We have very competitive pricing for everything we do, and our quality is second-to-none,?? he said. ??If something isn?t right, we?ll make it right or whatever the customer wants. Meadows said.At the retail showroom, customers can get their hands on samples and see lots of different types of glass in person. Together they have more than 80 years of experience in the business. They worked for other area glass companies, but eventually decided to do their own thing.Eventually, he and Picco decided Pueblo needed a locally owned and operated full-service glass business, a place in town where people could go for a lot of options without having to drive to Colorado Springs or Denver.
