I went to South High and graduated with a person (no name) who`s family still owns a gas station/garage and I alway`s took my cars to him and reccomended him to others. He treated me well but my brother in law came to me and said he got ripped off. I called a few other friends and they said they would never go back there and one of them reccomended John at Buchtel.

Sometime in 1983 I started with Buchtel a... view morend they have treated me, my family and friends fabulously. We have purchased so many used cars from John as well. He buys cars at the auctions and then does a full service on them and theres a 3 day right of refusal if something goes wrong (never has).

I would never go anywhere else

I took my cars to Buchtel Motors for all service and repairs for at least 10 years when I lived a block away, and now that I live across town, I still take my car there and would never go anywhere else. All staff are courteous, honest and know their business. Everyone is careful and thorough when communicating what work needs to be done before they do it and what the expected cost is likely to be. I have never gotten... view more a final bill from them that is not close to the original estimate. I have an older car (92 Subaru) that I want to keep running but am not investing in for the long term, and Mike always graciously and patiently takes the time to discuss service options when they`re available. For example, when the car needs a repair that could be done cost effectively with a used part instead of a new one, he will include that in the list of service options, realistically discuss the pros and cons, then let me decide according to what *I* want for my car. Over the years I have never felt that he mis-represented, mis-quoted, or tried to influence my decisions to his own advantage. They`re a AAA shop, they have a rate arrangement with the Enterprise office not far away on S.Broadway if you need a rental car while yours is in the shop, and either place will shuttle you back and forth. They`re located at the Louisiana light rail stop, and the Louisiana I-25 exit, so are easy to get to. When I have brought my car in with unexpected problems without an appointment, they have always added it promptly into their work schedule. I completely agree with the other 5-star reviews. Buchtel Motors has *always* done right by me and my cars.

I love the service and quality of Buchtel Motors!

I have been using Buchtel Motors for 7 years now and I have never found such a class act shop as Buchtel Motors. They are very friendly, honest and stand behind their work. I recommend Buchtel Motors any chance I have to family and friends. I cannot say I would change a thing about their service quality or atmosphere.

Wish I could give them NO stars........

Buchtel has been working on my car 2 years. In the first year they put in a new radiator and 3 water pumps? This year he put in another radiator. The last time my car was in I asked him to please check the block to see if it was cracked as the car continued to overheat after the 2nd radiator. He said it was not cracked. I had another mechanic look at it last week?ˆ¦..cracked block, water in the oil?ˆ¦?ˆ¦I could have ... view moresold the car for around $1200.00?ˆ¦..I sold it for $200.00. The last time my car was there for repair my locked car was stolen from his lot. He then charged me $746.00 to repair the damage from the theft. Thank you, John Everest, for your quick, honest response to our problem. Our car problem was resolved in a professional manner. John did an outstanding job of taking care of us and did so without compromising his integrity nor that of his business.

We would highly recommend that you contact John if you have any questions concerning your vehicle while it is being serviced in his establishment. We didn`t real... view moreize that we were not speaking to the owner when we were there, and we feel that a lot of problems, frustration and misunderstanding could have been avoided if we would have to ask to speak to the owner.
