I went for a AC diagnostics. They charged me $75. They did not find anything. The service advisor came over and said it looks like a compressor problem. I was like man $1500 gone. By the time the techncian found that it was a wiring issue. This advisor guy said another $75. I agreed. Everything was fine and I started driving my car... voila the car won`t turn while exiting from the strip mall. Came back again and tol... view mored the service advisor guy. He immediately opened the hood and said $90 to fix the problem they created. I never ever had any issues with the Power steering belt until it went to that Brakes Plus. Nice way of getting business. Finally I had to split the amount after arguing for an hour. Now they fixed the AC wiring but screwed up the heating. I am planning to complain to the BBB about this. They are 100% crooks and cheats. Please do not go to this crooks. Better find some other place.

Can they not do a simple oil change?

I went to get an oil change at Brakes Plus on County Line and Quebec and after the oil change was done the tech came out and said there was a problem with my oil pan plug. I had him show it to me and he showed me how he had put the plug back in and had put silicone around it to stop it from leaking. He said there was a problem with the plug screwing correctly into the oil pan and that it could be stripped. I asked ho... view morew much it would cost to fix and he said around $500. I didn`t trust him so, for the next oil change I took it to Toy Masters on Broadway and had them look at it.Then Wow! Low and behold the owner checked it and put a simple gasket on the plug and everything was fine. I was so worried that I had to lay out a lot of cash only to find out there wasn`t a problem at all. Isn`t an oil change a simple service? I`m very leery of this Brakes Plus and won`t go back there again.
