Reviews:

Excellent service from Kyle Simpson & Scott McDonald. They were enjoyable & have great personalities. That made the experience very enjoyable while buying my new car.

Dear Mel, Each and every time I am required to bring in my car for warranty service, I am always pleased at the results, My hat is off to Devin Viapando in service who accurately surmised the problem with my car stalling. My fuel pump had internally hemorrhaged. His customer service skills are excellent and his mechanical knowledge is superb!!! It?ˆ™s always a pleasure to speak with Jacob, as he was instrumental ... view morein the original purchase. He is always a professional and courteous gentleman. Both my brother-in-law and I are drooling over the new CX-5 and although he is in Maryland I am moving to Austin, we will shop at Mazda of Lakewood. I am a firm believer in doing businesses with your friends and having the first trip with a new car on an interstate highway. All The Best , Patrick Jensen Whistling Duck Enterprises

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE LYING CROOKS!!! I bought a car from them (horrible experience as I was told everything was ready to go, all approved, etc just come in and pick out your new car...LIE #1) and after all of the paperwork was done and I finally drove the car home I get a call 2 weeks (yes over 2 weeks) later that my financing had could not be approved without more money down. Unfreaking believable! T... view morehey jerked me around to the point where I told them I would just give them the car back and then they informed me they would have to charge me some unGodly amount per mile (which would have resulted in nearly the same amount they wanted to add to the down payment) which I now know is very commonly referred to as a "Spot Delivery Scam". My attorney said I could return the car, but the very fine print on the contract that I did not read could land me in court being sued (which happened later) if I did not pay them the mileage or the rest of the down payment they were entrapping me to pay. So I finally went to the dealership and told them again for the 20th time that I could not come up with any extra money so they added on a bunch of stuff like warranties, GAP, etc. I feel like I was being forced at gunpoint to comply with these slimy almost illegal tactics. The next day I called my attorney who drafted some letters to cancel of the the additional crap they added on (the hoops you had to go through just to cancel), and to no avail nothing has been removed from the loan. They ended up taking me to court for the down payment (I couldn`t afford to pay the attorney for more than the letter writing or I would have hired him to fight their attorney as he said their attorney has a reputation in town and especially with the courts), and upon further review of Jefferson County court records as Mazda of Lakewood apparently takes numerous people to court on a weekly basis...see for yourself as civil proceedings are public record and you can pull them up online after you`re done reading this! Gee, what kind of attorney would take money from a business who makes money doing borderline fraudulent/illegal transactions? Ding, ding ding...he must be a criminal attorney. The court would not grant me a continuance for the court date (I went out of town right after I was served) therefore they were granted a judgement against me which entitles them to garnish my bank accounts and/or paycheck. So in my goal of trying to be sensible and buy an inexpensive economical car (which I am grateful for, but really dislike). I have paid financially $25000.00+ for a $17000.00 car that was overpriced to begin with...and Mazda of Lakewood knows I am a single mom starting over and just diagnosed with cancer. I have purchased over 15 cars from dealerships in my life (I`m in outside sales and can`t do the only job I am trained for without a reliable, safe vehicle) and never had anything like this happen before. I wish I would have done research about them before dealing with Mazda of Lakewood because I would have never gone there if I had read reviews in advance. Perhaps I can help others by paying-it-forward forewarning people.

DO NOT buy a car at Lakewood Mazda. Once they have your money, they are done with you. I bought a 2011 Mazda 3. The clear coat was beginning to peel on the bumper on the left side of the car. it would have cost about $50 to fix it. Instead, the district manager, who said her name was Anita Rexwinkle (does anyone believe that name) said that they wouldn`t do the word because the bumper had been repainted, which i... view moret hadn`t. As her justification, she used 2 infintessimally small spots under the paint saying that those bumps meant the bumper had been repainted. That could have EASILY been done at the factory. In addition, when I asked for a copy of her business card, she refused to provide it saying it was against company policy. Have you EVER heard of ANY company that gave their employees business cards and then told them not to share them with anyone???? How stupid is that? When I called her a liar, she attempted to say, with a straight face, that she wasn`t lying. Please. She would rather lose thousands of dollars worth of business than authorize a $50 repair. Mazda must pay their district managers on the value of the repairs they refuse. I hafe been driving Mazdas for 25 years but this is the last new one I will ever buy and I will NEVER go back to Lakewood Mazda for anything. When I called Mazda Headquarters, they stated that their district managers were independent and they couldn`t do anything about my issue, however, they did agree to send me hundreds of dollars worth of gift certificates (since they knew she was obviously full of you know what).

I went to Mazda of Lakewood in Sept. of
I went to Mazda of Lakewood in Sept. of 2011 and have never in my adult life had a worse experience purchasing a car. I was threatened to pay the $3k down after 2 weeks of owning the car, yet the agreement signed was to pay this money within 90 days. Jacob the manager, called me repeatidly and bullied me for this money, regardless of the agreement. I also cancelled the GAP insurance and the extended service warran... view morety in Nov. 2011, and just checked with my auto financing institution and my account has STILL not been credited!
Mazda of Lakewood is the WORST dealership to even stop at!
Save yourself months of agony, DON`T purchase a car from them!

Do you know who your buying from?
Mazda of Lakewood is the worst place ever! I have been to this dealership over the past year and never see the same sales people there. Jake needs to learn how not speak to everyone like they are from the hood. Pay those people cash for your down payment and they will call and say you never paid them. Scott well you better wear your armour because he is a backstabbing liar and just google his name and see what h... view moree`s about he knows all about relating alright - he`s a real slammer kind of guy... Oh yes and good luck getting your taxes figured correctly you will be lucky if you don`t have to get your paper tag extended at least 2 times then they still won`t have it right. If you`re looking for the cream of the crop and a family type dealership don`t go to Mazda of Lakewood I would suggest McDonald Mazda they treat you with respect before, during and after the sale.

The Salesman Makes or Breaks them!
Our buying experience was based largely on the quality of service we got from a member of their sales staff, Doug Posey. He was extrememly knowledgeable and accommodating in making arrangements for us.
The first time we went to the lot to consider our options we were put off, however on a second look and with the help of a good salesman, ie: Doug, we were able to have a great experience with Mazada of Lakewood.
