DISHONEST SALESMAN (Sal). I made the mistake of referring a family member to this dealership in Longmont. The car they first attempted to sell us came back with a major accident report (even though the salesperson said it hadn`t been involved in an accident). We ended up buying another vehicle from them (Lexus), came back to pick it up a few days later and all the floor mats had been taken out, no temp tag was on ... view moreit (they`re required by law to provide this) and it hadn`t been cleaned (you could still see the impression of the old floor mats/dirt on the upholstery. When we called back later to talk to the salesperson (Sal) about this, he claimed they threw them away because they were damaged -- they left them in the vehicle to sell to us, but then decided after we had signed the paperwork that they were no-good. We called back to inquire about getting the mats back and the salesperson was short with us and slightly condescending. We later went back and he grudgingly gave us some old Saturn (we bought a Lexus) floor mats that didn`t fit - as a `temporary replacement`. We`ve never heard back from him since. After the floor mat ordeal, we wondered if we had gotten a fair deal from them, so we did some research. The vehicle was high mileage - when we checked the National Auto Dealer Association`s dealer price and we found that Essex had over-charged us approx. $2,500 more than its stated value. There were no option packages or aftermarket items on this Lexus - just the base model. It was really all about how badly the salesperson acted and represented his company. We will never go back to this dealership ever again and would recommend that people look elsewhere for an honest deal.

HONEST PRACTICAL AND FAIR!

I HAVE BOUGHT OVER 3 CARS FROM ESSEX MOTORS, EVERY TIME THEY HAVE TREATED ME SO FAIR WITH PRICING AND UNDERSTOOD HARDSHIPS OF REPAIRS, AS ALL MAN MADE THINGS ARE EXPECTED TO NEED FIXING. THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN MORE THE HAPPY TO GET THINGS FIXED AT THEIR COST. WHICH IS AMAZINGLY CHEAPER THEN ANY OTHER PLACE I HAVE GONE FOR REPAIRS. First Car

In Feb of 2007, my stepdaughter purchased a 1998 Nissan Altima, which had high mileage ( 177000 ) but was assured by the salesman ( Mike ) that it was "just the car for you".
