Suspicious diagnoses
I originally had my vehicle in to get new tires installed, no problem and reasonable cost. Went in a few routine services. Little things bothered me. They didn`t reset the service needed light. They asked me if I wanted tires rotated multiple times for the same scheduled service. I was quoted a lower price for a headlight replacement on one visit, then a higher price when I went to get the work done. When I st... view moreated I had previously been quoted a lower price, the tech thought about it and then agreed the lower price was right. On my last service there, they advised that the brake pads needed to be replaced soon, 3/32"" in the rear and 9/32"" in the front. Worried about this and set money aside for it. Three months later, took my vehicle to a previous mechanic I trust. He said nothing wrong with the brake, no replacement necessary for at least 5000+ miles, and charged me nothing. Won`t be taking my vehicle back to Swis.

Poor customer service
I called this store to see if they had winter blades in stock for my car, gave them make, model and year. I even gave them the size of the wipers I needed. I was told come on in we`re sure we have them. Guess what? They did not have them in stock. What a total waste of time.

Unbelievable Service
I recently had an unexpected road trip for a funeral. My car is 11 yrs old, with very high mileage, so I ran it over to my regular mechanics at Swis for an oil-change and a quick inspection before I needed to leave that same day. Unfortunately there was a brake issue that needed to be fixed and would take a couple hours. Knowing my situation, Larry at the front desk actually offered me the use of his personal vehi... view morecle to run my pretrip errands and finish my preparations so I could still hit the road on time!! And my car was ready earlier than expected as the guys put it on high priority. I`ve been going there for years and this kind of service shows why.

Impressive and honest
I started taking my car to Swis (I-25 and Broadway location) a couple of years ago due to the convenience of the location right next to the lightrail. I can drop my car off in the morning, ride the lightrail to work, then pick it up that evening. My interactions with them have been great -- they consistently tell me what is necessary, and what is not. I have done routine maintenance at Swis, and I also purchased a... view more set of 4 new tires from them 2 years ago. Last week, my boyfriend took my car elsewhere for an oil change, and they found a nail in one of my tires. This other place (I think it was a Firestone downtown) said it was not repairable, and gave him a quote for replacing 2 tires (over $200!). I took my car over to Swis, they took a quick glance at it, and said not only is it repairable, but we`ll do it for free right now if you want. 10 minutes later I left with a repaired tire. This is just another example of Swis`s honesty and excellent customer service. They`ve got a customer for life!

Oil change and the like.
Dropped my jeep off before school, took the light rail into town, and it was all done after two classes. Fast, cheaper than I expected, and completely thorough. For instance, I asked them to perform the jeep`s maintenance book service, which they went through, did the service, and marked off the appropriate services. When we went to ring up I thought they were mistaken: almost half of what I pay the oil-McChange p... view moreeople. I`m a big fan of the franchise oil change shops for sheer consistency of service, but Swis is making me think about our local merchants again. I just called again to schedule a change for another vehicle; they said show up and we`ll make it happen. The guy on the phone said, ask for me and I`ll take care of you. `Nuff said. I`m so impressed I signed up for citysearch to write this... and I`m lazy.
