Run - don`t walk - away from this place. Run like a rabid dog is chasing you! I took my S40 here because it`s close to my house. I asked for an oil change, a new strut to hold up my hood, new brake pads, and a quote on the turn signal auto-shut-off gizmo. I was clear that the first three things were authorized, and I`d wait on the quote to decide on the turn signal. After several hours I got a call from the or... view moreder-writer Larry telling me I needed a new CV joint and an air filter, too. He also quoted me on $182.50 for the turn signal gizmo, to which I replied, "For a 182 bucks I can turn off my own signal!" and declined to have that fixed. He didn`t tell me anything about the brakes, but I figured they just went ahead and did them since it was pre-authorized. Larry called later that day and said my car was ready. When I got there, they had done the CV joint, the hood strut and the $182 dollar turn signal gizmo, but not the brakes! I about had a heart attack and asked Larry to have that gizmo removed, stating that I couldn`t afford to pay for that. He told me that they couldn`t do it, and that I needed to talk to the owner. Larry spent a long time bamboozling me into paying for the gizmo and even knocked off $20. He gave me a sob story about how he was going to have to pay for it himself if I wouldn`t, and that he`d get in trouble with the owner. Since it was late and I needed to be somewhere, I agreed. As I was driving home, I discovered that my radio antenna motor was grinding away (for like 30 seconds!) when I turned the radio on and off, and it had never done that before. Of course, the next day I realized that I`d been hoodwinked and called the owner, Mike Trevathan. He agreed to put my old turn signal part back in, so I took the car back to him. When I picked it up a few hours later I discovered that my steering wheel was not straight. It tilted left by about 10 degrees. Being the symmetry freak that I am, I knew that it had to be straightened out or I would lose my mind. So, I dropped off the car again and told Larry what was wrong. I thought that maybe they put my steering wheel back on crooked when swapping out the turn signal gizmo, but it also could`ve happened when they were replacing the CV joint. (The joints and axles down there all eventually connect to the steering wheel, right?) An hour or so later I got a call from Mike telling me that I was a dishonest person and that the steering wheel must have always been like that and I just hadn`t noticed. He said that they never took off the steering wheel to fix the turn signal, and that I was just making up the whole thing - the radio included. Mike said he wasn`t going to touch my car again and to come get it. He wouldn`t even entertain the idea that the problem was caused when they replaced the CV joint and disconnected everything from the steering column! (And P.S., I`m NOT a dishonest person! I worry too much about karmic retribution.) So as I said, run far away from Rocky Mountain Volvo - unless you want to receive poor service (bordering on fraud), and be personally insulted at the same time.

Missing Items From Car
I took my car in, picked it up days later than was told. Then after I got my car, there were several items missing. They were not high dollar value, but still items I need to use from time to time. Maybe since they wern`t high dollar, they decided to take them, you have been warned. I`m NEVER going back..worst experience, go down the street to simms/colfax, good people there who Don`t take you stuff.

Great customer service
These guys know what they`re doing and aim to keep you informed every step of the way while they work on your car. They spotted a number of problems leftover by a sloppy oil change I had done at one of those QuickStop places. Service was done quickly and I was in and out within an hour. Car needed an oil change and dashboard light was on the fritz. They also fixed the previous oil change problems all at a reasonable ... view moreprice of $50. A friendly environment I would return to anytime.
