Total Rip off!
All I can say is Don`t do it! i took my car to them after it was in an accident. First of all, I took it to them because in their add they Said they would cover your deductable, and provide a rental car. Well, turns out that neither of these things happened. I decided to let them go ahead and fix my car, because at first they told me that the frame was not damaged in any way. It took them three weeks after they recie... view moreved the check from the insurance company to even start on my car.
They then told me that the frame had a lot of damage, and that was why it was taking them so long to get the car done. Three months later, the car still isn`t fixed, and now they want another $2,200.00 to finish the work. I asked them if they would work with me on payments to cover the balance, and that I needed the car back asap. The owner agreed to let me make payments to pay off the balance.
One and a half weeks later, the car is finally done, except for the paint. The owner now wants me to come up with at least $1,000.00 before I come pick up the car. I told him I don`t have that kind of money, and reminded him that he agreed to let me make payments. He still insisted that I bring in one thousand dollars or I won`t get the car back. A week goes by, and since I could not give him $1,000.00, he put a mechanics lein on my car, and now he owns the car. Now I am without the car, and I still owe $13,000.00 on the car wich will go on my credit report.
(ps. I also had personal belongings stolen out of my car while it was at the body shop.)
So, Whatever you do, DO NOT take your car to MR. Body Shop in Colorado Springs.
