smog
Had my car in for a smog check. All pass but one...timing was off by 15 degrees. You must have car fixed in shop in order to avoid having to pay for the test again...unlike other smog test sites that allow a second after fixing problem. For $65 + tax they will adjust. With a wrench they adjusted and corrected - 5 min. total
What really bothers me is why they did not make the minor adjustment to make it pas... view mores? What is the matter with them! I guess they just lost a repeat customer.

BEWARE: Total Scam
I just went there today for an oil change and a smog check and will never go back again. The oil change was fine although it took longer than expected and I was the first person there in the morning. However, when they got to the smog check they took another hour and when they finally finished they told me I had failed. I was surprised but curious if my emissions had failed or if there were any leaks or if my igni... view moretion timing was off. They told me that everything was great, everything passed except that I had a check engine light that was on.
When I had arrived that morning I had asked about why my check engine light was on. The man who came to get my information told me that their diagnostics guy would not be in until around noon. However, he told me that they could proceed anyway with the oil change and then the smog check.
If I was going to fail my smog check due to a faulty indicator light why not advise me to wait until after the diagnostic guy could look at my vehicle before spending $60 on a smog check that would obviously fail?
Obviously, when I was told of the reason for the failure I asked that exact question and the guy who did the smog check apologized and said that it was the first car he had done that morning and there had been a miscommunication. However, I still had to pay for the smog check, but they could discount me on the diagnostic service for $125 to $90, and then I would still have to pay for whatever was needed to fix the problem as well as a new smog check.
Look, business was slow, I understand that. But this was ridiculous. I paid and left and immediately took it to another smog check service. The kicker is I passed the other service with flying colors and received my certificate. Apparently there was nothing wrong with my truck just a faulty light, there was no diagnostic charges, etc.
SpeeDee just desn`t seem to have knowledgeable people who can communicate well to their customers. They also know many people know little about cars and will prey on that ignorance. Don`t go for a smog check early in the morning, because as I have been told and have found out personally, if it looks to be a slow day they probably will take you for a ride that will leave a big hole in your wallet.
Look for smaller more private automotive businesses as they seem to have better deals and customer service. My 2nd smog check only cost me $35, plus $8 for the certificate. I learned a valuable lesson today and I hope this helps someone.

TOTAL SCAM
I took my truck in for a oil and transmission fluid change wich include new transmission filter, later on the day they call me saying that they were done but that my truck was not driveable so i ask them why and they said ""we don`t know why but we can run a test for 90 dollars and find out why "",so i said no because my truck was running fine when i drope it off.So i went to the shop to talk to them and they show me ... view morethe truck. The truck was not going in reverse or foward.I was real mad beause my truck was not like that before and i had a feeling that they were the ones the create the problem.I call a friend of mine who knows about cars and he notice that they had broken the manual lever mechanism in the automatic transmission .I talked to the people in the shop about it but they said they did not broke it because they were not even close to that mechanism, come on! so i end up paying a different shop 350 dollars to repair my car.Be carefull when taking your car to this guys they will rip you off.I am going to file a complaint with the automobile bureu
