My Mini was at another transmi...
My Mini was at another transmission shop for over a month and a half, and they still couldn`t get it fixed!!! They said it was something simple and kept replacing things here and there, but the fixes never lasted. Got it out of there and took it to Choi`s Transmission based on a friend`s referral; She had three cars worked on by them, and all of them are driving like new! It was a blessing to get my car back withi... view moren two weeks from Choi`s (took a week to get the valve body in from up north.) Other shops quoted me $5,000+ to fix my Mini. Choi`s was the only shop to break down all of the costs for repair, tell me WHY my transmission was failing, and get out of the shop @ $3,500!!! Family-run business with honest work-staff that doesn`t pressure you into getting anything you don`t need. Choi`s Transmission ROCKS!!!

I went in to have my 1999 Dodg...
I went in to have my 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 looked at because transmission was slipping would not go into 3rd gear. This is a known issue come to find out in the Dodge online community. When I took the truck in 1st he didnt have me sign any written estimate or form of any kind. They were nice and polite until they got my truck up in the air. The owner/manager offered me coffee etc.... Once they removed my transmission p... view morean which took a total of 5min. allow the oil to drain he immediately started saying i need a whole new transmission without even looking for any sign other than pointing out the fact that the pan shows metal particle which im sure every transmission does. They hook it up to the diagnostic computer and found that one of my sensors was bad (Gorvenor Silenoid sensor) which is directly related to the Computer controlled transmission. This was the sensor that controls shifting the exact same symptons I was experiencing. He 1st was trying to get me to leave the shop while it was being looked at and he was persistant with it kept asking me if i needed a ride he would take me. Once I declined his offer several times He then told me I need a whole new transmission and it would cost me $1600 dollars to replace. Once I told him I didnt have that kind of money, he then proceeded to asking me how much did I have and if I could use a credit card. I explain to him that I just bought the vehicle and spent all I had on the purchase. Then he sorta held my vehicle hostage would not bring it off the lift telling me that I need to pay him $65 for the inspection. I explain to him that I did not sign anything saying there was a fee for it so I was not paying him. After 30 mins and what look like a call to the Big Boss he then released my vehicle and starting being rude. I was fortunate to get the Diagnostic Computer reading and thanks to my Do Deligents able to research the part and found that it was the cause of my shifting problem. I replaced the part myself took it took me 1hr by removing transmission pan a couple of screws popping out the part and new one back in. The part cost me $45 dollars used (not sure what it cost new) and my shifting problem was fixed. It definately was not a $1600 fix. Didnt get his name but it was the older Asian guy that everyone there took directions from.
