Reviews:
Came in for the Chevy advertised $199 Spark EV lease. They had one in stock but said they we unwilling to participate in that Chevy program? Huh? So Chevy advertises something and a dealer doesn`t have to honor it if they don`t feel like it? That`s news to me but anyway... I was interested in leasing that vehicle and asked what they would offer it for and was told it would be $369..! Yes.. Chevy says you can lease it... view more for $199 and gives dealers a rebate to roll into the deal to make it work. It seems Steves instead opts to pocket that rebate and nearly double the price of the advertised special.
I never write reviews but this bait and switch...then pocket the "customers" rebate seemed like a pretty low blow. Thanks Steves.
for the record.. The TESLA business model where they prefer to sell directly to the public seems sensible. Why do I (or Chevy for that matter) need middlemen like these mucking up things for all concerned.
It of course is illegal for a car company to sell directly to consumers. Why? Because the dealer`s lobby has laws written in all 50 states making it illegal. It seems to be working well for them still today.
