Makes other used car salesman look like saints.

After all the bad experiences i have had with used car dealerships over the years, this one tops the cake. My nephew wanted to purchase a used car at Hardin Honda, a good 25 miles away from home. He spent the day there looking at the car, test driving it, then negotiating a purchase price out the door.

We returned there, cash in hand to purchase the car and guess what happens? The saleman tells us he can gi... view moreve us the car for $2000 more than what was negotiated?!? That`s right....even more than the listed price. Of course, next comes the ""let me talk to my manager"" and he again returns... this time the price is ""only"" $500 above what was negotiated earlier.

Of course, we decided not to fall prey to these kind of tactics and left with the satisfaction of knowing we would not put ourselves in a position to have to deal with these people again. I can only imagine the type of service and the level of honesty anyone can expect from this kind of dealership... blatantly shameful for the Honda name brand.

My recommendation to anyone dealing with this dealership is to avoid the used car lot period and if buying a new car... research well and bring someone who will help you defend yourself against the tactics this dealerships uses. Seriously, be careful when you deal with this business and good luck.

Horrible place to purchase a car!!

All the managers in this dealership suck..These people are all about money..that`s just too bad..=/..Don`t ever purchase a car from this dealership they are all crooks, and also telling customers lies about the banks and you name it..Just HORRIBLE..will never ever go there again.ever.everyone i know that will be looking for a car i will not even suggest this dealership...Toyota only..ahahaha..yeaaaaahhhhh

Hardin Honda Rocks

We bought a new 09 Honda Element EX with navigation today. The salesman Rob Klemenz was so easy to work with from the beginning. No pressure. No sleazy tactics. Just total professionalism. They didn`t even have the car we wanted in stock and we considered going elsewhere, but Rob was so nice we couldn`t give the sale to someone else. We also enjoyed working with Reynaldo in Finance. Bait and swith experts

my girlfriend and i had been shopping for a honda civic or accord for a few days hen we finally decided to give hardin a chance. they sales guy was really friendly and down to earth. we decided on a certified pre-owned accord to purchase. my girlfriend had been approved for an auto loan through her credit union for 15k but sinse the car we wanted was more than that and we only had 1k to put down we wanted to go throu... view moregh honda`s financing. everything went super smooth and a few hours later we had all the paperwork stating we had just purchased the vehicle through honda financing. i mean we had gone through every step. the only reason we didnt take the vehicle home that night was my girlfriend needed to get insurance and we didnt want to go through honda for 30 days of insurance. also they needed to clean the car before we could take it and by this point it was 10pm so we said we would be by the following day after work to pick the car up. the following day my girlfriend gets a call from the sales manager eric asking when we would be down. she stated that we still needed to go buy insurance before heading down so it wouldn`t be till after 5pm. well when we get down there they proceed to tell us that we didn`t get approved for honda`s 1st time buyers credit (even though my girlfriends credit is about 700) and that we would have to use the financing my girlfriend was already approved for and buy a cheaper vehicle. i asked... 1st why we signed all the paperwork the night before stating we were approved through honda and purchasing the car and what would of happened if we had taken the car last night...his response was well i wasnt gonna let u take the car last night (which was bs) and we cant help what honda approves or denies (well why not wait till it`s approved for sure before having us go through all the steps of finalizing the sale) not once did they mention the loan was pending approval, they came out shook our hands gave us certificates for free oil changes, etc. 2nd...when he called my girlfriend why did he not mention we had been denied the financing. well like true salesman he wanted to get us down there to try to sell us a car we didn`t want. i told eric i thought it was very rude he would have us drive all the way out there during rush hour but all he could say was a condescending ""i`m sorry but like everyone knows us car salesmen are bad people"" the night before they offered me a plan for $750 that would allow me to back out of the deal for a few days after signing the contract. why are they allowed to back out just because they goofed on their end. makes no sense. these guys are very dishonest.

Worst Dealership Ever! Do not go to this dealership!

After more than several hours of contact with an internet sales rep and coming to verbal agreement, I was ready to purchase my vehicle. I was reassured that internet sales had priority over floor sales, so I didn`t need to worry about a walk-in customer buying my future car. I had all necessary documents and check in hand when I arrived at the dealership. I was greeted and told that the internet rep would see me i... view moren a couple of minutes. I had called the rep 15 minutes prior to arriving, so she knew I would be there. About 10 minutes passed before I was greeted by a floor manager. After telling me he had sold my car just hours prior to my arrival, he said ""Business is business."" Then he had the audacity to try and sell me on a different color! What happened to internet sales over floor sales? He said that the rep had no idea the car was sold. That`s a bunch of BS! Plus, the rep I talked to all morning didn`t even come out to greet me to tell me in person what had happened. Not only that but I called 15 minutes prior and still no one could tell me that I was wasting my time driving over there because the car was already gone. I understand nature of ""bus is bus."", but what happened to honesty and integrity?

They say Hardin Honda is dedicated to customer satisfaction on there website. There was no customer service! As far as I`m concerned they wasted my time and I`m writing this because I don`t want you to make the same mistake. Believe me, none of my family members or friends will ever purchase from Hardin Honda.

The only good thing was, that I was saved from purchasing from them... because I got a call the next day from Fladeboe Honda in Irvine. The sales rep manager was the greatest. She was straight forward, held the car for me until I got there and made buying a car so simple! Plus she gave me a better deal than Hardin did! Do not buy from Hardin... go to FLADEBOE in Irvine!

Professional and Fair!
