Not the cheapest, but one of the best shops in my experience.
I`ve been a Hergesheimer customer, off and on (as I`ve owned Porsches through the years) for over 25 years, and have had nothing but great experiences. Mark has always been clear about what work is required and what the cost will be, and I have found the service time to (almost always) be as promised.
One thing that may be mis-interpreted is that Mark will NOT allow his techs to do a `halfway` job - and this s... view moreometimes get interpreted by some (ahem) ""do it on the cheap"" customers as over-priced. Get a quote from Mark, then one from a dealer and compare sometime. : )
Mark does do race car prep and service work (it`s his hobby and passion) but the shop focus appears to be on street car service and repair work. I always enjoy looking at the race cars in the shop (and wishing they were in my garage!)..
Not the cheapest, but one of the best shops in my experience. I`ll go back if and when I buy another P-car.

I would not go here except for small and well understood jobs like oil change
One two occasions I brought my Porsche in. Both times it was minor work and I felt the workshop grossly overcharged me. Not only that, their knowledge of the issues were weak. I felt the owners were just interested in making money, period.
Specifically, I was quoted that a job will take 10hrs to complete and quoted a lot of money respectively and when I asked when can I pick the car up, I was told that I coul... view mored pick it up the next day....HOW CAN A JOB TAKE 10HOURS (=~2DAYS OF WORK) BE READY IN A DAY???!!!
I am no genius but I did not go for the job. I got the job done at 1/3 of the price at another German specialist. Stay away from these guys. They might be good for oil change and things you know for sure you won`t get cheated on.
