EXCELLENT Tranny work, MODEST Price
I get excellent service at Tranny Man; I have been going there for over 15 years. They are experts at diagnosing Tranny problems; they fixed my 3 speed manual on the S15 pickup, my 5 speed manual on the F350, and have done the regular (filter and fluid) service on my 2005 F150. They offer reasonable towing rates, and service prices. You will pay more at other shops, and you will not get their expertise. For examp... view morele, some other shop may tell you they will change the fluid and filter on your tranny, and that they will also adjust the tranny if necessary. The truth is, there is nothing to adjust on the tranny for new cars. There is no screw you can tighten to make it run better. It either works, or it has to be rebuilt. So don`t fall for that line : we`ll adjust it for you, just bring it in. That`s the bait to get you to bring it in. The Tranny Man just tells you what it will take to fix your problem, and do it.

Business management has a Lack of morals and business ethics
In January & February, while on vacation in California, it was necessary for me to cut the trip short due to death of a family member. On Feb. 5th on my drive back home, my car transmission broke down near San Jose, and I had the car towed and along the way we saw the Tranny Man shop, so arranged for them to replace the transmission at a cost of $1800.00, per invoice # 6033. I was impressed with the tidiness of their... view more shop and assurances that their written and verbal 1 (one)yr, 12,000 mile warranty, given by the manager, Frank Martinez, would be honored even if the work had to be done at a distant shop, recognizing that I travelled and didn`t live in the area. In subsequent telephone conversations with Frank, he reiterated that they would promptly honor the warranty by arrangements with a shop in the area where the failure occurred. As of July 23rd, the transmission has an internal problem with a bad shudder and slippage in the drive gears, confirmed by a reputable transmission shop in my home city, which problem they confirmed in a phone conversation with Frank. The cost to repair it would be a minimum of $1500 and maximum of $1890. I suggested that The Tranny Man pay the minimum and I`d pay any cost above that amount. Frank advised me that they would only honor the warranty if the car was brought to their shop, which, as he knows, is not possible as it is not drivable for any distance. So, they are not honoring their warranty commitment to have the repair done wherever it occurred, as understood, when they did the work. My mistakes were that I didn`t check with the the local Business Bureau first and didn`t take the car to an ATRA accredited shop - not thinking clearly under my personal circumstances. It`s a big let-down for a Canadian visitor.
