I am really disappointed with this place. We took our car in based on Chuck`s recommendation that it was time to change the timing belt. And because the car heater had just stopped working, we asked Chuck if he can fix it as well, which he agreed to. We also asked him to clean the battery corrosion. Because I have a full time job, I sent the car with my girlfriend. Not only he charged us $50 more than what he actually said it would cost (claiming that an old piece exploded while he was working on the car), he did not do anything other than changing the timing belt. He did not work on the corrosion, and he did not change the brakes. Worst of all, the car started to make a very annoying ticking sound everytime we turn it on or change the heat temperature. We had to take the car to him four times by now. We asked him to return everything like it was because I hate that sound in my car. He said that to stop that sound he needed to take out all the dashboard which is a lot of work. What a terrible mechanic who does not know how to fix what he damaged! The car never made that noise at all before we took it to him, and it started making it right after we picked it up from his shop first time. I do not trust this mechanic and I will never take my car to his shop again! And I recommend you never do because odds are you are going to regret that day!

Chuck is honest, dependable an...

Chuck is honest, dependable and a good mechanic. He has a reputable establishment and I would recommend him to anyone in need of repair for their vehicle. I`m a cab driver in Monterey and am familiar with most of the shops in town.

Best Auto Repair Experience I`ve Ever Had!

I have a ford ranger that seems to consistently break down. I was going to college at Cal State Monterey Bay and have limited funds to spend on my car. Chuck fixed the oil pan gasket a year and a half ago for a reasonable price. Just recently it blew out again because my dad and I tried to repair the head gaskets on our own. (Chuck was able to give us some good advice for this as well--we just ended up torching the o... view moreld screws back into the manifold.) Even though my car was out well passed a year warranty the owner took care of me and we were able to work out an solution. The do great work and I would highly recommend the company. They will always be my go to mechanics when my car breaks down.
