They do good work but OVER CHARGE. I car recently failed smog test due to an error code and high hydrocarbons. They charged me $160 to diagnosis that I needed a new vapor recovery Canister and offered to replace it for an additional $540. I called Toyota and they said they would charge 510 to replace the part. Honest, trustworthy, skilled! Over sixty years in business

I`ve been in LA since 1986, and have not found a better place to have major (and minor) automotive work done!

They have rebuilt one engine for me when someone I loaned my car to blew the head gasket. They were honest and told me that it would cost a lot, but when I weighed the price they gave me to the cost of a new-used car, it was very, very affordable, and they did the project right! What auto shop does THAT? Amazing! I also know that they build and race dragsters and I am sure that my rebuilt 455 V8 will run circles around the rest! Alan is a second generation mechanic and he and his father have had this business for over 60 years, heck it might even be near 70 years now! I love these guys. If they were closer, I`d get all my auto repairs done there. Since they are a bit far from me, I just take them the major work I don`t trust other people with.
