Saved us big time

We own a Mazda 626 and the back up lights didn`t work. We tried to figure it out and began looking for the switch that activates the lights when you move the gear shift into reverse. A new piece would cost $250 we went to pick n pull and couldn`t find any out there. We called mike`s and he found out it wasn`t the switch but a wire was broken. That was the best $45 dollars I ever spent on a car repair. WARNING - DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE -

After 4 days of excuses I used someone else. What a joke and a liar this guy is. I agree he makes his employees write good reviews. I used Al`s Mobile which was ON TIME, and did a GREAT job. If you want to get disappointed the use Mike, but you will be sorry. This guy is totally unreliable.

BEST IN TOWN!

Mike drove to me in Roseville. I have a 97 vw golf gti and there were numerous problems with it. Everything electrical was blown pretty much sunroof, locks, radio, the alarm was busted and the starter was shot. Mike fixed the starter and came back two days later to fix the alarm. But when I told him everything else that was wrong with it, he volunteered to fix that as well and it was a wiring nightmare. He is a geniu... view mores and fixes things for a very reasonable price. Yeah you heard me. The only reviews you can trust are the bad ones. I would not recommend him. There are good mobile mechanics in town but this guy is not it.

Completely Unreliable

Well, he fixed it, eventually. He was only three hours late (and only called with three different excuses, one being a nap) and it only took him three more hours to do what is generally agreed to be a 20 minute job; and he only dropped my starter on the concrete once. Even though my car now starts I will be taking my car into a dependable shop to get it checked out for any untighted plugs, unsecured bolts, lost l... view moreighters, spoons, or anything else he could have done to my engine while replacing my starter. Avoid this guy if you can. While his prices are reasonable, he is not. Go ask the family friend, get it towed to a shop, or get a repair manual and try to fix it yourself - all would be better then relying on this completely unreliable guy.

Mike`s the guy you want to call when you get stuck!

I`m a fairly skilled home mechanic and was replacing the clutch in my 2001 Ford Mustang GT and got stuck on one of the transmission-to-block mounting bolts being absolutely, irrecoverably stuck. After fighting with it for two days I called Mike. He came over the next morning and worked with me on it for a lot more hours than any reasonable person could have expected considering what he was asking and kept at it wit... view moreh obsessive determination until it was finally free! Just to give you an idea of how much work was involved, we ended up removing the motor mounts, pushing the entire transmission and engine forward so he could get at it from the top, grinding away half the bold head to make a flat striking surface and then he broke it loose using a large chisel and sledge hammer! Even if you know what you`re doing, let alone if everything under the hood is a mystery to you, if you get stuck on a car problem, call Mike. He`s a real pro!

Refreshingly a Professional!

I was referred to Mike`s Mobile Mechanic by a friend of mine. I was very impressed with his promptness and the way he presented himself as an automotive professional. He diagnosed my car within the first 10 mins. and he even found a few other minor problems. Mike explained exactly what was wrong with my car in terms that I could understand.
