I always look for honesty in auto
I always look for honesty in auto repair service. Have seen too many that nickel and dime you or overcharge. pete was completely honest and they gave me excellent service. I will bring all of my brake service and oil changes here as long as they provide this type of respect for cumstomers

Take the whole day off work
Made appointment, was there on time, was told they will be right with you and nothing.....I would not recommend this service to my worst enemy, seems as if we are lucky to even be spoken too. The hell with this place I hope they close and leave my town. I

New Manager Pete #1 in Customer Service
The new manager Pete, in my opinion, has customer service/satisfaction as his number one priority as he takes over management of this Brake Master location. Due to an accident a few weeks earlier when my brakes locked up in the rain, causing me to rear-end the car in front of me, I brought my Chevy pickup in to have the brakes checked. Turned out one of the ABS system sensors malfunctioned and one of the rear brake... view more shoes broke in half inside the drum. The technician replaced my rear brake shoes, wheel cylinders, front brake pads, flushed the brake fluid and bled the air out of the system. Also, I had the radiator flush since my heater wasn`t putting out much heat. The technician checked my thermostat and it was stuck open. A $6 dollar part and I now have heat again. I now have excellent brakes due to the diligent work and experience by the technicians at this location. It was raining hard when I left the shop and I slammed on my brakes down the road. I now have a good working ABS system again. The heat on these cold days is now a pleasure use putting out hot air instead of cold. Walk-ins are welcome, but I would recommend that you call and make an appointment to avoid waiting time as it normally appointments then first come first serve. Thank you to the manager Pete and to his technicians who did a great job on my truck.

Reliable Experiences
I`ve been going here for a few years now for oil changes and brake jobs. Just the routine stuff and always find Larry and his staff to be straightforward and honest. I`ll sometimes negotiate on the prices of things, but they do so in a reasonable way. About the lifetime brakes, I got them on the front end back in 2007 and just had to go in last month. Replaced both rotors and got out the for about $200 since the ... view morepads were free on replacement. Seemed fair to me.

Nickle and Dimes ""R"" Us
When you recieve your quote, after waiting for over an hour and a half, be sure and check out how many ""extras"" are on the printout (brake flush/un-needed every time-28$, brake fluid not included with brake flush-11.95$, ""cleaning""-28$). After spending over 300 dollars last time around with them for ""liftime brakes"" (less than 2 years ago) they wanted to charge us another 370$ for rotors and the works the secon... view mored time around. After inspection by another shop they confirmed that the brake pads were indead bad and said the rotors were nowhere near needing replacement (Brakemasters upsell). To boot they put the tires I just had rotated on backwards. Do not go here the ""lifetime brakes"" were a scam!! If you do go in against my advice ask how much they charge for labor an hour-it will blow your mind!

Great place great prices
I have had a lot of bad experiences when trying to get my car serviced and have felt betrayed by other repair shops but I have had a lot of good experiences at brake mastrers and have used the one on auburn blvd and like it alot too. but orangevale is my favorite.

Break my car twice in a week. What a Break Master...
I went to this Brake Master in Orangeville since I live in Folsom. My girlfriend went there once to fix the engine check light. They turned it off and it came back few days later. Sent it twice but never fixed the root cause. We sold the car anyway but wasted $75 when we got it fixed in Auto Zone using their reader for free. Turn out to be a known issue for our car.
I gave a try this time since they mailed me som... view moree coupons. I changed the coolant by them and then my coolant check light kept coming on when I parked on slope. I went back and turn out that they did not put enough coolant. I decided to change my brake fluid and power steering fluid there since I had a $10 off coupon plus I was lazy to go back again. [BIG MISTAKE] When I picked up my car, my car was making loud noise and burn smell came out. Turn out the technician spilled steering fluid to my belt and pulley causing my belt slipped and the heat burned the fluid. Then the technician passed me a belt grease cleaner and told me to spray it to my pulley and belt. It worked there, but few hours later when I wanted to turn on my car again, same thing happened again. Same issues repeated few times and I decided to bring it back tomorrow. I should learned my lesson the first time from this BREAK MASTER. Hopefully tomorrow is the last time I ever need to visit them. God bless me....
