Busy shop, few employees, front desk is run by the mechanic who did your work...
I had air conditioning troubleshooting performed; they couldn`t find the leak with a freon recharge and using the freon sniffer tool, so they put freon with dye into my air conditioning, and the leak was found a few days later; as I drove it, the freon leak left traces of the dye at the leak point as the freon escaped. The leak point was one of the two air conditioning hoses on my vehicle.
I felt I got good s... view moreervice, leaks like these cannot immediately always be detected, I felt that the proper procedure was done to detect the leak.
The shop is small, and the theree employees always seem busy, and there are always lots of vehicles in this shop for repairs; it is well trafficed with business. The invoices are VERY WELL documented as to the problem, the repair that was made, and the like. The mechanic that worked on my vehicle said that they use prior invoices to understand what work had been performed, should the customer come in with a problem.
They have no waiting room, no fancy lobbies, or the like. They are the typical ""old-fashioned"" service center; tools, cars, and expertise. Where do Pep Boys mechanics go when they leave Pep Boys ? They probably open up their own shop like this one... RECOMMENDED
