Reviews:
Do you home work, Check the numbers
I wish I had read the other reviews and I could have saved my self alot of grief. I am a very thorough purchaer. I do my homewrok and run the numbers before I make a decision. I knew the exact price of the vehicle based on the invoice and the interest rate I could qualify for due to my income and credit. I had already received a quote from another Ford franchise. I was very well prepared. I spoke to an interne... view moret manager and we confirmed the equipment on the vehicle was correct. He faxed me the sticker price as verification. I made an appointment to come in and meet in person. This should have been a formality. Yet it wasn`t. The closer came out and introduced himself and gave me the price and payment. The term was 72 months and the rate was 1.9%higher than it should have been. One of the ways a dealership can manipulate the variables to their advantage is charge a higher finance rate and extend the term on the financing.. The client can qualify for the lower rate and term yet they are not given those variables. It is a tactic someotimes used when the profit on the vehicle is thin. A small difference in payment or interest can be explained due to variances in overhead at diffent franchises. The payment was $100 more than the previous dealership with similiar numbers. I got angry and left. The closer asked me to come back inside and see the numbers on his computer. I said ok. He put in the variables again and showed me the screen. The number shocked him as well. I was correct. The correct payment was over a $100 less than the one the manager had oriiginally stated. He could not explain why. It is very unfortunate that a few people can damage the reputation of an entire industry. The large majority of people in the car business are hard working honest people. Do your homework, Check your numbers. Then check them again. The internet has become a powerful consumer tool. There are a large number of sites to help you in the decision process. A mistake can put you upside down in a car for years.

CHOOSE ANOTHER DEALER
First the facts:
1. Brought my truck in for an oil change (Saturday) and basic service. Also had a small issue with hesitation at low end so they performed an ""inspection"" at an additional $140. They advised this was due in part to a sticking throttle body which I was advised needed replacing at $600+. (after bringing the car home and cleaning out the throttle body. The car runs fine.} They never inspected the t... view morehrottle body.
2. Upon picking up my truck, there was now a large crack running down the windshield. Service advisor said this was likely due to the dealership putting cold water on the windshield when they washed the car after service. Said they would fix it and said he would call me by Tuesday to advise on repair.
3. Called Friday as I had not heard from them. Said they would put in a used windshield. Said this will not do as my windshield is in perfect condition and I am not taking anything that is not in perfect condition, cannot be guaranteed, and has come from a wrecked vehicle. This also goes against Ford replacement standards.
4. Said to bring car down for the service manager by 5 to inspect. Went today before 5 and they told me the service manager left. (Side note: As another service person, Sean was insulting another customer saying they don`t make the vehicles, Ford does, therefore they are not responsible, I chimed in telling him that was ludicrous and he informed me I am not part of the conversation. Seems to fit in with the general culture there.
5. Was directed to another young lady who was nice enough, but again I informed her I would not be accepting anything less than a new windshield. Said she would have Mike the service manager call me.
6. NOTE: If they refuse to install a new OEM windshield by a reputable installer to factory specs, I will File suit immediately and post a link to a copy of it and the judgement here and at every other major review site. This in addition to letters to Ford and other local business organizations and consumer boards that could possibly affect their business. My business associates are on the Toluca Lake Chamber Board and we are affiliated with all of the local studios.
Now My Opinion:
As of now, I would highly recommend service or vehicle purchase at another dealership. To remain impartial I will not give names, but there are a couple of other good dealerships in other areas of the valley. Even if you have to pay a little more, go somehwere else. I have yet to speak with the service manager, but will update here after I do. This review will have a few chapters or updates. Against my better judgement I went here out of convenience. I usually go to another dealership that is outstanding. There are several negative reviews for this dealership, and though maybe not well articulated, there is some accuracy here. They defintely have some bad element here and it is so void of basic customer service as to insult the intelligence of most people. I will post updates and report accurately. If Sunrise calls me in a timely manner and states they will repair the damage in a timely manner and as I have reasonably requested, that is what I will report here and adjust accordingly. PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES.

Stereotypical Cheating Mechanics
I first went to Sunrise Ford last September when sent to the ""dealership"" for my Ford Escort because my normal mechanic was honest enough to state that they could not accurately diagnosis my problem. When I arrived I explained I was sent by another mechanic for this reason. I also explained that I had another place recently do transmission work and they found a faulty relay that was causing the air conditioning co... view morempressor to run all the time but could not get the part because of backorders. Ford spent the entire day ""analyzing"" my vehicle and determined I had a rotten pcv pipe that needed to replace and then a tune up (that was over $600). When I asked about the relay, I was informed by Anthony that it was working fine. Anthony was really nice and talked about how their per hour labor charges were cheaper then independent mechanics which they were about $5 dollars cheaper so I thought I found a new place and taking your car to its dealership is better right. In November my air conditioning compressor seized snapping the serpentine belt (that was over $900). In March my car threw that brand new serpentine belt. When I questioned why did it throw the new belt, they had no answers. They spent the day ""analyzing"" my car and finally determined that the relay I mentioned back in September was bad. When brought up the fact that if they had fixed it back in September these other problems would not have occurred, they made up excuses (this cost me $2000).
In May I got a call from them stating that their notes stated that it was time to get my brakes done. Due to financial reasons and the fact that my brakes didn`t appear to be acting worn, I didn`t race over there. Not to say I wasn`t freaking paranoid that they might be bad. So Today (August) I took the car in for an oil change and brakes. I told the guys that rear brakes were change last year so that it was just the front brakes that needed to be looked at. Three hours later I get a call stating that my brakes were fine so I only got an oil change. When I went to pay it was $98. I was floored. They told me they had to charge me for the techs time because he had to take the drum apart to inspect and run it through a machine. I stated that I didn`t tell you to check the back but the front which are disk that just require a quick visual. They then claimed they had to check both because I came in complaining about the brakes. I shot back that I came into about the brakes because they called and told me I needed to which at that point Nick got pissy with me stating why should I do anything for you when you are getting angry with. Um anger is a normal response to being ripped off Jerk.
I will never go there again. Instead will be going back to Mountain View Goodyear where while their hourly labor is cheaper they are at least honest and don`t charge for things they don`t fix.

Stay away, please, stay away...
This place is all of the rings of Dante`s inferno placed into a giant dial of pain, lies, and deceit. They have no follow through, integrity, or honesty. It was the worst car purchasing experience I have ever had. I can only say that to buy a car at this dealership is to support a system of car sales that sucks. They are cheats in front of you and ignore you once you`ve signed your papers. I hope one day to meet the ... view moreowner of the Ford Company to tell him how awful this dealership is!!!

Terrible scummy dealership
They did everything they could to give me a hard fast sell, lied to me about what my warranty would cover and which options I had agreed to, lied that I would get one free detailing job after the purchase, and abandoned me the minute I signed the papers. I still got a good deal on my car, and financing was easy, but since the purchase, they have been terrible to deal with and several of their lies have surfaced as I ... view moreneeded warranty repairs. Their service department people were nice to me, but I would never go back, just to avoid their location reporting good business. I have had much better experiences at the Santa Monice Buerge Ford dealer, try them instead.

Scummiest car dealership I`ve ever been to
Highly agree with the majority of opinions posted here. They roped me into coming onto the lot by quoting me a great price on a hybrid in an email exchange, swore up and down on the phone that they would ""take care of me."" When I got there, they wanted me to fill out paperwork, which I didn`t want to do until I got a confirmation of the price they had quoted me. The salesman went into the sales managers` room, c... view moreame back and said that yes, they were offering me the price they had quoted me in the email. I filled out the paperwork, waited half-an-hour, and lo-and-behold, another manager came out and said there had been a mistake, the actual price was much higher. I argued with them for a few minutes, then left angrily. One of their other manager weasels came running after me, saying they wanted to make it up to me and maybe they could sell me something else. Wow, how generous of them. When it became clear that I wasn`t going to fall for their ""get them on the lot any way you can"" scumbag routine, this guy actually had the audacity to insult me for believing the original price they quoted me, that I should have clearly known it was a ""mistake."" He failed to explain why every other salesman and manager that I had dealt with on the lot, for at least an hour all seemed to think it was a reasonable price until they decided to ""turn the tables"" on me. This is truly a dishonest and disreputable place. They are pure pondscum -- avoid Sunrise Ford at all costs.

The WORST!!!!!!!!!!
Never ever go to Sunrise Ford to buy your car! Go anywhere else!!!! Go to another Ford dealer, they can`t all be as bad as Sunrise Ford. Please know I am not exaggerating. One day when I have time I will write the whole story. For now I will let you know I had to write an e-mail to the president and CEO of Ford to have them fix the contract after they blatantly lied to me to get me to sign it. There were so many lies... view more from them it was hard to keep track. Finally after they fixed the contract and I thought things were better I started getting calls from Chrysler (the car I turned in) saying they weren`t paid. That went on for weeks and the Chrysler called me again saying they weren`t paid enough. It did not stop and Sunrise Ford lied the whole way. There is so much to this story when I have an hour to sit down and write it I will. Bottom line I love my Hybrid Escape i just wish I bought it from another dealership and I urge you to do the same. I won`t even return there for servicing my car. They are awful!!!! I wish I could give them 0 stars because that is what they deserve. If you do not heed my warning and go there watch your back!!!!

Fastest, Most Compotent Body Shop Around!
My seatbelt stopped working on my 2004 Ford Escape. After calling Sunrise, Brittany told me to come on in, and that I wouldn`t need an appointment. When I got there, she and the shop manager determined that it might cost about $200 with parts and labor. Considering it was still cheaper than a ""Click-it or ticket,"" I was OK with this. He then found that he had an extra part laying around, and that it would only be ... view morefor $100.00. She recommended the Denny`s on the corner for some lunch, and it was all done when I returned. I was absolutely pleased with their service, professionalism, and candor. Thanks, Sunrise! :-)

NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!
I`m a foreigner, I`ve been working in California for 1 year but still there are things I do not know well like for example credit issues. They saw me coming from miles away, they saw all my weaknesses and they took advantage of all of them. Believe me, they had no mercy.
I wanted a Mustang but they said I had no credit. They asked to several banks and in all, I was rejected. Even when I had a very good and secure ... view morejob. I wanted to ask myself and come back any other time. But two assistant sales managers side by side made the miracle happens.
They convinced me that If I bought another car I could build credit in 2months and come the third month (my deadline to be able to take the car back home) and they would rebuy that car and offer me a nice pre-owned Mustang cheaper. My car wouldn`t loose any value in two months.
So I bought another car just to build credit (in two months!!!!). Next the guy at the financing department told me that in order not to risk any damage that might make me loose my ""investment"" I should take some extras like and extended warranty, alarm and protection for body paint and interior. I would be returning the car in 2 months but he insisted that I would recover all the money of that package (5,000) and I would put that money in my nice Mustang.
You can imagine the rest. I had to sell myself the car I bought from them, I could recover only nearly half of the package (a bit more than 2,000) and with the money I got selling the car I just paid for the rest of the loan. All in all I ended loosing $10,0000!!! Yes, no mistake on that. TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS And I even talked to the owner, the son of a businessman who, at first was nice and later was very busy.
Where I come from, one goes to a big dealer to be safe. There, you know they have a good name to keep, I thought the same thing happened here.
What is funny is that on all their business cards you can read ""Sunrise Ford, where integrity has a meaning"" Someone explain that meaning to me.

Once they had my money they stopped returning calls, etc
I bought a used Scion from these guys last year during a rainy spell (you remember it, if you live in LA). While I enjoyed the salesman a great deal it turned out he was just really good at what he did. I was in a hurry to buy the car because my car had died...so we dealt on price, and that was fine. I was going to wait until the next day to take the car home, but he insisted I do the down payment, sign off and take ... view moreit that night. Well the next day I saw why: it turns out their detailers had put massive swirl marks in the finish of the car. I put that one up to my inexperience in the arena of purchasing a car (first one I`ve bought from a dealer) and let it go. Next was I never received any paperwork from the dealership as my loan was being financed at a credit union out of town so papers had to be sent there and to me. I followed up several times (still, the only thing I have from Sunrise Ford is a receipt for my $1000 down payment) with no return phone call. Finally, I stopped in and the manager who had *HUGGED* me when I bought a car from them was really excited to see me...until he realized that I had been there a week ago and bought a car then he pawned me off to someone else. Needless to say I never got the paperwork. I also never got the replacement floor mats that they had promised me and god knows what else.
The good news is I had a friend who was about to buy a ford focus from them, I stopped him and intend to do that as many times as I can. He happily bought a Civic from somewhere else.
