This place is a rip off! I took my 93 honda in because I needed a clutch and a master cylinder. Had to get it towed cause it wouldnt start. It had been sitting for awile. They call me saying that my car is toast and that its not worth fixing. He says there is no compression in the engine. But he knows where I can sell my car $350 and that someone is selling their car for $2500. I go over the next day to talk to him a... view morend the he tells me that my timing belt has broken. I say no cause it had a new one put in 2 years ago. I say wait my boyfirend is coming. We check the car. Wont start. My boyfriend pops the hood and magicly there is no oil in my car. So we put oil in and try to start the car. Still wont start. I watch as the quy sprayes break cleaner into the starter instead of starting fluid. My boyfriend asks him what he is doing and why isnt he using starting fluid. The mechanic says that they dont have any and this is what they always use. WTH! We check the compression level again and little by little its going up. But once again the mechanic tells us that the car isnt worth fixing and he knows a junkyard that will buy it for $400 and oh by the way here is a Lexus that is for sale. We go on to discuss that im going to get it towed out of there. I ask him if I can keep it there for a couple of days and he says yes. The next day was a sunday so my boyfriend goes over with gas, oil, starting fluid and his tools. An hour later he sends me a video of my car running! No friggin way! I go to pick up my car from SM Auto on Momday. They say it doesnt run. I say yes it does. My boyfriend got it started yesterday. He says no its not worth fixing cause the compression isnt good. I say its ok! I get in my car and what do you know it starts right up. I took it to a different shop and had them run a compression check, I hear back and guess what...my compression is awesome! NEVER GO TO SM AUTO!
