Think twice before you buy here

I found the car I wanted at Bancroft motors and paid full price for the car after Steve himself assured me the car had been checked out by his mechanics I was specific when asking about all belts, hoses etc. ,being in good condition and had been replaced if needed. He offered no discounts because the car he said was in the best condition. The day I took the car home two of the electric windows were not working prop... view moreerly so I left the car there to be repaired. When I picked up the car They were working again and I was assured that all the windows were checked and fixed properly. Within a week the one window stopped working again. I made several call to Steve none of which were returned and finally when I was able to speak to him he refused to help me in repairing it. I ended up with three broken windows and a bill for $700 none of which was paid by Bancroft motors. I was also stuck with towing and repair costs for several minor yet costly repairs for things he said had been replaced. It was a terrible experience and I was offered no help or compromise. I was extremely disappointed with the lack of integrity and concern they have for their customers and not very honest when they want to sell you a car.

How is this guy in business?

Just browsing, my wife and I were looking at a car. The first car was a Nissan Altima that had velcro on the sun visors to hold them up. Then there was a Chevy Malibu. The car looked ok but for some reason I didnt like it. Steve tried to tell me that this was a good car. Well it was however the tires were bald and the glove box door completely came off. He made it seem like it was a good car but I was finding... view more issues left and right. On top of that he had the audacity to say to me when my wife wasn`t interested after the test drive that it was because she couldn`t afford it. Who in the hell does he think he is saying what my wife and I can and cannot afford. He says he has "clean cars" but I saw a bunch of polished turds. I also forgot to mention we looked at another car and he asked us what we had to put down and we told him and he said "nope" as if it weren`t good enough for him.

Words can not explain how thankful I am for Steve Bancroft Motors. This is the best dealership that I have ever dealt with. Steve was honest from the beggining. He is not your typical sales person that blows smoke up your behind just to make a sale. Unlike the dozens of the dealerships that my husband and I went to, we did not feel judged not one time when explaining our current situation. Not sure if Steve could sen... view morese the nervouseness when we would come in, but he would crack the funniesst jokes that would immediately break the ice. The office staff was very helpful and friendly. A great work atmosphere as soon as you step in the office. I am 100% happy with my new car. One thing I really loved about this place is that you actually work directly with the owner, anywhere else your working with dumb sales representatives that are only trying to make a buck off of you. My family and I will continue to buy cars from Steve Bancroft Motors, hands down. If you are in the process of buying a car, please do stop by, I guarantee that you will love it! I was able to inhouse finance my car, and 2 days later I received my statement book with all of my due dates and amount due. I am really suprised as to how proffesional this place is. Terrible costumer service

I called to inquire about the 2004 impreza. I had brought the car to a subaru dealership two weeks ago and it needs 1500 dollars worth of repairs! (needs head gaskets) when i inquired about a price drop the salesperson was very rude. You are posting this on craigslist at 4950 ($5900 last week) knowing it needs repairs and yet are unwilling to negotiate the price.
