Inept Management

My car breaks down on the 5, so I get it towed off the next exit. ""Sweet, there`s a Kragen right there!"" I get the part, everything`s cool, pay with my debit and go back to my car. I don`t have what I need to get into where the part goes, so I return the item straight away. ""Thanks anyways, have a good one."" 2 days go by and no return processed to my card. I call up to check it out. Nice person says, ``S... view moreometimes it takes longer."" ""OK."" 3 days and nope. Call back and another very nice person says they were having a visit from their corporate office while I was in the store so everyone was more focused on their visit than my transaction and it was processed and returned as cash. No one made me aware of this previously. So when they counted the register that night and researched the discrepancy and determined it was from my transaction, to which my name and phone number was attached, 3 days went by before I had to call to figure out that my missing money was in an envelope in their store 60 miles away from where I live. So, the nice guy on the phone suggests I wait one more day for the managers to come back to work and figure out an acceptable resolution to their mistake. Day 4 without my money...I get my first rude person on the phone! It`s the manager, BOB. ""So, I`ve got your cash here. Do you want to come pick it up or should we just go ahead and process it back to your card?"" (bringing the total to 7 days without my money.) OK...I`m assuming my situation had been explained to him. Giving me 2 undesirable options that I didn`t need his permission for was no help what so ever. I know I can drive 120 miles round trip to your store and get my money. I know I can make you return it to my card and wait another 3 days. So after reiterating my concerns with his proposed solutions, I let him know I would be in that day to pick up my cash, but I wasn`t stoked about it. I get there and BOB communicates back and forth with me through his employee at the counter, who walks back and forth to BOB`s office or whatever, as he reluctantly agrees to go out of his way to accommodate me with 10 whole dollars for the gas. I would have been happier with a face to face apology or even a literal spit in my face! Pitiful excuse for leadership! I`ll get a hold of the corporate team that visited the store next to suggest they hire a new manager for that location.
