exceptional and fair
Bill has worked on many vehicles for me over the last 10 years, and not only is his work top notch, he`s also fair and reasonable, and always explains what is happening, how to prevent problems in the future, etc.
It`s very disturbing that someone can post a review saying they`ve `heard` that someone blows up engines. Everyone I know who has personal experience with Bill as a mechanic, and I know several people, a... view morell think he`s a great mechanic, fair and honest.

The last honest mechanic
I don`t trust mechanics. I`ve been cheated by several of them over the years and they were expensive situations. I moved to SF and needed work on my car after driving cross-country. I asked a local Porshe shop and they directed me to Bill. I was nervous about being cheated again and I didn`t have much money to spend. Bill and his partner made me feel at ease and were very up front about cost and time as well as ... view morethe order of importance in the list of repairs. Bill worked with me and took my needs into account.
In my experience, an honest mechanic is unusual. Add in Bill`s expertise and willingness to work within the client`s needs and you have a the perfect mechanic for me.
Bill isn`t cheap but he is honest and thorough. I recommend him to *everyone* I know who needs a mechanic.

Great service trustworthy
After seeing the two ""reviews"" here on this site I feel compelled to write my own review. I have known Bill, the proprietor of Eason Autoworks for three years, and if it were not for him my Porsche would be long gone today. I notice in one of the reviews above that the writer`s ""friend"" had a `99 Boxster whose engine blew up while in Bill`s care. To quote the author of said review ""His excuse... these things hap... view morepen to this model year."" The fact is Boxsters made before the year 2000 do have a fatal flaw in the motor and blow up all the time above 100k miles, this happened to my cousin who owned a `99 Boxster. If the customer had gone the litigation route as the author says they considered, they should be litigating against Porsche, not Bill.
The fact is Bill Eason develops a personal relationship with all of his customers and has saved me money at every opportunity he could. His work is thorough and he always takes the time to explain everything he is doing and the way things work. It is obvious Bill loves his work and loves helping people.
If the previous customer had any knowledge about his vehicle model and year he would have been aware of this issue with the car and not blaming Bill for it.

Not Where You Want to Go for Service
I brought a friend`s 99 Porsche Boxster in to have the transmission inspected. Reverse gear was locked out and no amount of coaxing would allow me to shift into it. After a day, we were told that the transmission needed to be replaced. The owner decided to go ahead with the factory replacement. Two days later, she gets a phone call from the owner of the business that the engine blew up during the transmission tes... view moret drive. His response..."These engines from that year tend to do that". No help, except to have a dealer make sure he had installed the transmission correctly. Total cost...$6000 for the transmission, $13,000 for a remanufactured engine (that was done at a dealer). Be forewarned!
