CORVETTE PAINT
SANTA MARGARITA AUTO BODY HAS THE BEST PAINT SHOP I HAVE EVER BEEN IN. DENNIS WHO IS THE OWNER, DID A FANTASTIC JOB ON MY CLASSIC 1966 TRIPLE BLACK CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE AND ALSO DID AN UNREAL JOB ON MY BEST FRIENDS 1957 T-BIRD AND 1960 CONVERTIBLE FURY. THIS SHOP IS FANTASTIC. GREAT QUALITY WORK, FAST AND DETAILED. PLUS THEIR PRICES ARE THE BEST. MY HATS OFF TO DENNIS AND HIS COMPANY. I WILL USE THEM ANYT... view moreIME I NEED A FIX.

Fixing that other comment!
Well after the work was done, the bill was actually LESS than the estimate by like 250. So they are not trying to screw you. The first day was great. Got greeted and helped within 10 seconds of walking in and an estimate within 10 minutes and brought it back to be worked on the next day. Turn around time was ten days total. (Including weekends) Car looked like new! my car had aftermarket pin stripes on the side and t... view morehey matched the paint and other side perfectly! Only thing I COULD complain about is the lack of communication on their part. I would have loved maybe one or two quick calls during the time they had my car to see where it was in the process. (IE just got the bumper in, getting painted today, should be done by friday.) Something like that. Sooooo, I finially called and he said it would be ready tomorrow morning but he would call me when all the paperwork was in order. By noon I called and indeed it was all ready, (and looking great!) but I did not get the promised phone call.

THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF
NO ONE SHOULD USE THIS COMPANY, IF THEY ARE RIPPING OF PRIVATE OWNERS, THEN THINK ABOUT WHAT THE ARE DOING TO INSURANCE COMPANIES, THEIR ACTIONS ONLY RAISE YOUR INSURANCE RATES.
I was overcharged and mislead by the front office of this company. I had a quote done (which was written in pencil and I signed it in pencil), my mistake. I was charged $700.00 to have the tail light panel replaced on a 1974 Chevy Nova. I... view moret consist of eight spot welds and two welded tabs that are 1/2 "" long. The panel is 10"" high and 59"" long. I removed the lights and wiring myself, along with the bumper so nothing was in the way.
The final bill states that it took 12 hours at a rate of $42.00 per hour, painting the tail section took 1.5 hours at a rate of $42.00 per hour and the painting material was $96.00,
Since the car will be primarly used for racing, I have since taken it to 2 different shops and a picture to 2 other shops to get an quote on having a 12 point roll bar install (I have learned my lesson, get multiple quotes) and every shop has stated that it should have taken no more that 3 hours to complete and primer should have been included if they wanted their repair to last.
Here is the misleading part, while working up the quote at the front desk, I was asked if I wanted it primered. I said yes, dont worry about the dents and one rust spot, I will take care of that myself, but if the car was all one color, it would look better. So when I was given a quote of $700.00, I thought it was reasonable. (so you can imagine my suprise when i went to pick it up and only the tail panel was primered),
I just smiled, paid and walked out.
It is now my mission to tell everyone I know and every Car Club I come across about this Company.
