I was involved in a hit and run on the freeway where they hit my Diplomat motor coach while I was driving. They had smashed the left side of my coach all the way down to the rear. I had taken my Diplomat to a few different dealers and repair shops for estimates and I was told they would not be able to start the job for a few months. I was just going to comment on what a great job they did on my Honda but I feel I must address the dumb-ass that posted before me. I have worked in the automotive industry for over 30 years and I hate to see someone try and destroy a company?ˆ™s reputation over something they do not understand. I understand the concept of a free est... view moreimate but if they spent 2 hours estimating your vehicle there was more done than just looking. Every auto body shop I have ever worked for charges for the work they performed and storage if the vehicle is sent to a different shop. This is such common practice that insurance company?ˆ™s pay for this entire process. This makes me wonder why you are complaining about something I know you did not have to pay out of your pocket for. Please do a bit of research before your start bad mouthing a company for just doing what is common practice.

I had my vehicle towed to OCAB for a free estimate as advertised on their website. Owner Ron called the next day stating the estimate was ready. After reviewing the estimate with Ron and then discussing it with my wife we decided that financially we could not afford the repairs out of pocket and must submit a claim to our insurance company. Our insurance company recommended we use an auto repair facility approved by ... view morethem for an expedited turn around time on repairs. OCAB said it would be $260.00 to release the vehicle. This was to cover 2 hours preparing the estimate and 2 days storage. Vehicles left over 48 hours are subject to a storage fee even though it had only been there 24 hours at that point. The secretary said day of arrival is counted as 24hrs and day of departure the same. The shop owner Ron told my wife "I`m tired of being screwed out of labor only to have the job go to another repair facility". 1) False advertising of free estimates 2) Fraudulent time keeping

I have 8 years expierence working around vehicles so I would like to think I am familiar with the process a bodyshop goes through in order to get a repair done for a vehicle. So I had my 01` Jetta turned in for repairs after a front end collision covered by Statef Farm. I needed an extra seperate quote because I wanted to do a mild modification to the grill by going badgeless (without the VW symbol in the front and... view more flushing the hood line) and add factory sideskirts, front and back lip, and rear spoiler. Went to Fountain Valley Autoworks to only be jerked around and wasted a week of my time with different quotes and lies while my car sat in the shop. Went to Ron(owner) here at Orange Coast Auto body and he gave me no bull. He is a man of his word and my car came back in excellent shape. His price is competitive but most important for me is the quality for the cost. The repair came out absolutely pristine. Although Orange Coast Autobody does not have the nice expensive building and fancy stuff, they more than made up for it in the cost savings and quality in repair, years of expierence, and lower overhead. They called me every few days just to give me a status report which is unnessesary for me but cool. If you are in Fountain Valley or in OC and need a clean professional repair, I would highly recommend Orange Coast Auto Body, Ron and his staff are very qualified in taking care of your bodywork needs. If you have financial issues, just be open with Ron, he`s a really cool guy who can provide different options. If you go there, please tell them that I (Sam) referred you through this review.
