(this is an UPDATE to my other...

(this is an UPDATE From another review i made, nearly 4 years ago, and YES i copied parts of it, because i hate to TYPE... please forgive... but i Always give credit to folks, when it is Due.) so as i mentioned before - Dan`s Service is located in a small industrial area accessible from either harbor blvd. or west capitol ave. in west Sacramento. members of my family, as well as coworkers have been taking our veh... view moreicles to Dan and Ken for QUITE a few years now ! and they have (Still) proven themselves to be honest and reliable in all aspects of our dealings with them. I got RID of my poorly built, pile of FORD (A 1996 Taurus), and in 2011 i purchased a supercharged 1998 Buick Riviera with 133.000 miles, and since it has no "Distributor", i thought it best that i Immediately bring it in to Have the camshaft and crankshaft ignition sensors Replaced. and since Almost EVERYTHING had to be removed to get to the crankshaft sensor, i decided to have them replace the water pump and Bell Housing/Harmonic Balancer (there is a rubber piece that gets rotten in it, if it breaks it can throw all the belts) "Ken" also replaced all the pulleys as well... and due to the very cramped workspace, THIS was no Easy Task ! But as usual.. they did it RIGHT, because a year and a half later it still purrs like a kitten. and let me tell you, these Buick`s are sweet!.. but somewhat temperamental, especially where the Electronics/Sensors are concerned.So KUDOS, my friends.. and "Dan" & "Ken" are (STILL) always there for me with reasonable and reliable service. and they have never tried to "up-sales" me or pull any punches, and they have reliable contacts for "Referral", IF a repair is not in their scope of Talent... and those qualities are Refreshing, in light of my prior experience with mechanics in general. (BUT... The Shop is NOT FANCY ! there is no room for a waiting room... But since this is a REAL mechanics shop, and not some "coddling" overdone car Dealership, i Believe i can live with that... ) I highly recommend "Dan" and "Ken" at Dan`s service if your looking for honest competent mechanics ! review by, Todd p. Honest mechanics
