So! I decided to give these guys a second chance from my last review hoping that my last expirance was just a one time thing. Well it wasnt i droped half of my engine off to have basic machine work and cleaning done. 3 days later i get a call from a guy i belive is Geoff/jeff or somthing close too cause appartently North State auto is getting new management. Good news! Right? WRONG... anyways i get a call from this g... view moreuy and says he didnt like my previous review and decided he didnt want to do buisniess with me. Which i dont blame them my review was pretty harsh but there was absolutly no trying from this guy to repair my confedance in there company.On top of all this mess he wasnt even there to understand my expirance. I dont understand why it took 3 days to tell me this. Regaurdless of all this i go there to pick up my stuff(which had not moved where i left 3 days ago) and wait patiently to talk to Geoff. He sees me, asks me if the parts are mine, and asks a worker to help load it up. I then try to talk to him to explain my previous expirance but no imediantly he gets very angry. He then called me a Whinner and says i must leave. First thing that came to mind pass the adreneline was WOW what great customer service specially for sombody trying to revive a broken company. I then said this just proves my previous review, along with the other 2 on just YP. His response to the other reviews was " I dont care ". I guess a second chance was a mistake on my part and sorry for who ever has to be in Geoff/ D-Bag`s presents. I took my parts to Terrils Aluminum Heads and so far its been a great expirance. This review is absolutly not out of anger i have thought about another review and decided people need to know who to stay away from in Chico when it comes to this kind of work. P.S the orignal owner is a great guy and hearing his storys of Old chico and whats hes built was a great expirance

1 star reviews for a reason! Rude staff, cheap parts (especially gaskets), and they will ruin your engine and cost you even more money! Do yourself a favor and take it somewhere else the first time so you don`t have to have a different shop redo it a few miles down the road. Also don`t expect to get a itemized receipt but a total..... Later when you say they messed up your stuff and it cost me this much they say &quo... view moret;Not saying your lying, but there`s no way it cost that much" there`s not much to go off or "We see you spent that much but there`s no way to tell if this is the same parts you bought here". Anything to get out of owning up to their mistakes and possibly staff overcharging and pocketing $$$.

like the guy above said, cheap parts but customer service and orginization of the store is horrible. This shop used to be so great now its going down the drain. My most recent expirance was when i gave them some parts to be CHECKED i signed the invoice for a free check. i called 2 times a week for about 3 weeks and all they said is they dont know, call back later, or "we will give you a call right back". Th... view moreat 3rd week i got my parts and they said i had a bill to pay so i talked to the owner as to why i owe money for a free check up. Turns out they machined and fixed the parts (with out my permission or even letting me know). The owner then got pissy with me and told me to never come back, when it was there own dam fault!! I will never deal with these guys agian and advise anybody that if they want a good expirance with a machinist to go somewhere else.

cheap parts, crappy work

last three engines I had rebuilt: they used bottom line gasket sets. tend to blow out. Last engine I gave them a virgin 4 bolt main 350 chevy. Gave me someone elses 2 bolt main, had no idea where my engine was did not care. did give me some 4 bolt main they found. Ran like crap, they rebuilt the carburator and smogged it it would bearly run when I left with it. Before rebuild it would get 16mpg, now it gets 10mpg wit... view moreh no more hp still over heats with a new 4 core radiator instead of the 3 core as before. after 200 miles on new plugs it gets 9mpg as it fouls the plugs from oil passing through!
