Genuine Techs of Riverside is a RIP OFF
I took my 2000 Honda Civic Si to Genuine Techs on August of 2010 for an engine rebuild. After the first month, and not hearing from them, I went to see what progress had been done. The engine was still sitting on the ground. Nothing had been done. They said that they had been very busy and they would get right on it. I waited another month, and came in around the end of October. The engine was still sitting in the sa... view moreme place. Finally, I came in the middle of December and told them that if they could handle doing the job, I would pick up the car and the engine and take it some where else. They finally started working on it. They finished the job at the end of January 2011. After 5 months of waiting, this is what I got back. The car barely mad it home. It had no power what so ever. I took it to a new mechanic and this is what they found. The oil pan and oil pick up was full of metal shavings, the head was so badly worked on, that I had to buy a new one. The engine wiring harness was butchered. The air/fuel ratio was 17:1. That is extremely lean. Ask any mechanic. It cost me over $5000.00 to fix the damage that was done to my engine by Genuine Techs. I filed a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair. They found numerous violations. Including an illeagal estimate. I am in the process of suing them for damages and the return of the money I paid them. DO NOT take you vehicle to Genuine Techs. They are SCANDALOUS.

Most Honest and Best Honda Mechanic
I use Genuine Tech for every Honda we own or have owned (4) and have been a happy satisfied customer for many years. They are hands down the most honest mechanics around. I have brought in cars when I thought there might be a problem and many times when it was found that there was no problem, there was no charge. The owner is a factory trained Honda mechanic. I have never had a problem that he has not been able t... view moreo quickly diagnose. Bin (the owner) really loves working on Hondas and he gladly explains in detail what the problem is.
They are the hardest working shop around - they stay open pretty late - usually about 7:00 p.m. and they`re even open on Saturdays.
I found them after having been disappointed by other ""Honda shops"" before. Apparently Hondas are pretty reliable and these other shops must not get very much practice diagnosing and fixing Honda problems.
