Stay Away From This Business!
While my Dodge truck was left at Jim`s Transmission Repair for a basic transmission service my nearly new battery was switched out, the insulating under hood blanket was swapped for a rodent damaged one and the under hood dome light fixture was taken. The owner Jim, claims he and his partner have no knowledge of this happening. I had explained to both Jim and his son Ed whom I`d dropped the truck off with, that I wou... view moreld need to leave it in their care for a week or more before I could pick it up. Three details tell me they are not being truthful or acting responsibly. There is no evidence of a forced entry to open any door or window. (The hood release is located inside.) The hood does not appear to have been forced open. If the truck was vandalized outside after hours, in January; what thief would take the time to bolt in a bad battery and install a rodent damaged hood blanket in their place? It appears obvious that someone with access to his shop has taken these items. Unfortunately, they are not doing the right thing and taking responsibility. I have the receipt from from Liberty Motors showing my purchase/installation of a new battery. This battery was removed and an older battery was put in. The truck wouldn`t start the next time I tried to drive it due to the battery being dead. Don`t take your chances on this happening to you!
