Reviews:
Worst service in the Universe. Bought a tire on Friday which they had to order and said they would get it on Saturday from another store, Saturday comes they tell me they having problems shipping the tire so they have to get it somewhere else for 5 dollars more, just wanting my tire i agree, they tell me be in on Monday, Monday comes still no tire, they tell me Tuesday for sure, same thing Tuesday no tire so Wednesd... view moreay comes and they finally call and tell me tire is in. Go after work Wednesday pay the extra 5 dollars and they still make me wait an hour to install the tire. while im waiting I check sears on my phone to find out the tire is 20 dollars cheaper there. Talk to the manager cause they have a big sign in the waiting room stating we beat anyones price Guarantied and show her the sears price and she tells me its too late cause i already purchased the tire. Dont go here Im warning you.

BEWARE!! They WILL screw you.
Yeah they just lost a customer today.
BEWARE! These guys will bait-n-switch you like no other...Have no doubt about that..
Just purchased some tires on their Buy 3 tires get one Free program..
At every point of contact Pep Boys and the Culver City crew had the opportunity to deal honestly with me.
1) Talked to MIKE, the ""Service Manager"", he told me I`d get one free. NO MENTION OF MAIL-IN REBATE.
2) ... view morePrinted out the coupon from the website. NO MENTION WHATSOEVER, ON ANY PART OF THE WEBSITE OF A MAIL-IN REBATE.
3) Went into the store, worked with MYRON (who earned my trust just w aweek before by selling me some great tires on another car) He told me they`d apply the discount and free tire at the end of the transaction. NO MENTION OF MAIL-IN REBATE.
4) Go to pay and have the third guy ringing up my bill telling me it`s a mail-in rebate. And he stares at me dumbly as if I`m the one who got it wrong.
Of course I question it and they tell me that I`m lying and that they told me all along that it was a mail-in rebate. ""Our man"" Myron turns into a shill for Pep Boys and shows his real colors. Blame the customer because they can`t be wrong.
I have no problem with mail-in rebates, but if I`m led to believe I get a discount at the counter, then have to fill out forms and wait 12 weeks for my check, I`m pissed. that`s called Bait-N-Switch and it`s bad business practice.
Also in reading the rebate form, you also HAVE to get the full tire service package, including the Road Hazard Warranty $60, Valve Stems, and Balance in order to get the free tire, which they forgot to mention. They also tack on an Alignment at $70 in their package -
Scum bags.
They adhere to the get `em in the door, do the work and lie about the rest philosophy.
So they lost a customer. Not so big a deal for Pep Boys huh? Well maybe it will be, if the next ususpecting customer (YOU) reads their bad reviews and decides to take their business elsewhere.
I hope you seriously consider it before spending your recession dollars and your precious time at this place.
Either that or call these knuckleheads on their BS before you buy. Had I even an inkling about a send in rebate form, better be sure I would`ve asked for more info.
Good Luck

Avoid this place for repairs
I went there to diagnose an oil leak. They identified 4 leaks -- total estimated cost to repair: over $2000! Fortunately, I was somewhat skeptical and went somewhere else for a second opinion. Turns out the oil leak was coming from a different location from any of the 4 identified by Pep Boys. Total cost at the other mechanic: $225. I could have paid them $2000+ and still not fixed the problem!
I don`t trust them... view more and I`m definitely never going back there again. There are multiple highly rated family owned auto shops in the same neighborhood. I would recommend trying those others over Pep Boys.

Don`t go here for repairs
They completely misdiagnosed an oil leak. They claimed it was leaking in 4 different places. Turns out the leak was in a totally different place that they didn`t even mention to me. After some research I found out that the actual location of my leak is the most common location for my particular car, yet they didn`t even identify it as a candidate out of 4 locations they mentioned. The repairs to fix the 4 wrongly... view more identified gaskets would have been very expensive, and the leak would not have even been fixed. Fortunately I didn`t have them do anything.
I had it fixed somewhere else instead. I will never go back to this store for any reason, as I cannot trust them at all.
