Terrible after-sale warranty service
Several days after buying a set of Michelin tires from Linville Brothers, I noticed the right rear tire had lost air, so called Linville?ˆ™s and was told to come right down. After an hour and a half wait (time passes slooowly in in the waiting room of a tire store), my car was finally driven into the garage and the right rear lifted with a floor jack. The tech checked the valve stem first, which was leaking. He popped ... view moreit out and installed a new one, all within five minutes.
During the wait, the owner chatted with customers (me included) and sat at a computer. I thought the hold up was lack of a service bay, which use of the floor jack shown wasn?ˆ™t the case . Many techs were working on cars which customers had left for the day. The owner could have asked any of them to check the tire when I first arrived. Or, heaven forbid, he could have gotten his hands dirty and did it himself. Good businesses go the extra mile to take care of a warranty problem---but based on my experience, not Linville.
This unpleasant experience set me off on a tire search, and I found the Tire Rack, just outside Reno. Prices are much lower, plus Nevada has no sales tax. They also ship to your house or an installer of your choice.

Great shop, great service & lots of knowledge
I just recently had a great experience at Linville Bros. I scheduled an alignment for my GT40 replica. Most places that I called for the appointment either don`t have the equipment, the knowledge or the desire to work on a special vehicle like mine - not so with Linville.
This was my first time at Linville, and within 5 minutes of arriving there Steve directed me onto the alignment rack. He explained in detai... view morel every step that he was going through and one could really tell how knowledgeable he is. On top of it he is a really nice guy. He checked all the specs on the car (with the ones I brought on paper) and within 1.5 hrs we were all done. In fact, he even spent extra time to check and tighten some additional suspension bolts/nuts. The price was exactly what they said it would be. What a great shop. I would highly recomment them for anybody needed alignment, tire, brake type work. I will definitely be back when I need any service or product that they offer.

If you need Tires or tire repair I recommned Linville
Nail in my tire today! Red light came on to tell me I was loosing air. I pulled into Linville and they fixed it in 15 minutes and I was on my way! Friendly, clean, professional, systems in place, excellent service delivery! As TheCOACH I was very impressed, would recommend them to anyone!

Still Awesome After All These Years

Too busy to provide service
I must revise my former glowing report downward because I was actually forced to quit using Linville Bros because their services are only by appointment now. I cannot have a simple tire change done or balancing done without an appointment. Even with an appointment I have arrived at the appointed time only to be told they were suddenly ""too busy"" to fit me in. This has been very disappointing on a number of occasio... view morens. But in every cloud there is a silver lining and I discovered Warren Brake and Suspension downtown. Larry Warren has consistently provided alignments and brake service at a very high quality for a reasonable price WITHOUT appointments and I prefer his service to Linville.

Great service, great product, knowledgeable staff and clean.
I`ve done business with the Linville brothers and I will continue to in the future. They`re right on top of their game! (Note to throwing-up kid mother: Mr. Linville is just doing what a good businessman would do and wants his place of business to be clean and free of trash. You may not be the only one who has been confronted about littering there.) I give Linville Brothers 5 stars!

one stop shop
I have been longterm with this shop and love the guys. The rude parking lot storie seems a little out of place but ive never thrown up in there parking lot. for service there no place better.

I have a SL65 AMGand after multiple trips to the dealer trying to resolve a vibration issue linville was able to fix it in about 45min while i waited. top notch crew and service.

Owner is disrespectful
I am a mother of two young children and while on my way home from a long day teaching, my four year began throwing up in the car as I was driving home. I quickly pulled over, unfortunately in this parking lot, and began to clean her up and try to stop her from crying and being so upset. I set the bag outside of my car and continued to clean her up when the owner yelled rudely from the business ""don`t be littering ... view morehere on my property!"". Even after discussion with the owner he was rude and completely unprofessional. I wouldn`t trust my dog with this guy, let alone my car!
