I was told my 2009 Acura TL required full synthetic at $79.99 rather than the regular oil I use at $39.99. I told them the owner`s manual says 5w-20. The man at the counter said the oil cap says 0w-20. So they do the work. During the inspection, I see the oil cap says 5w-20. I ask what`s up with that. A tech comes out and says the cap is wrong and that it was probably replaced at some point. I told him I looke... view mored at the owner`s manual says 5w-20. His response was "well that`s the owner`s manual". I said whatever and left since they obviously didn`t care they made up the full sythetic story. So I was charged double for oil that was absolutely not needed. I have gone to this location for the past 5+ years but I will not return to this location in the future at any point. I have noticed that the staff is different from a year ago and everything has gone down hill somewhat. I think what they pulled today was really silly and it`s too bad they think they can cheat people and they won`t notice. Too bad for them I`m one of those types of people that read the fine print when I sign something and pay attention to all the details. Don`t take your car to this or any other Jiffy Lube (because it`s a roll of the dice on the service you`ll get) if you want an honest job done at a reasonable price. The state of this Jiffy Lube has shifted from being a cool place to bring your car to into the stereotypical Jiffy Lube (will do anything to upsell you with things you don`t need, whatever it takes).
