I have used Palmer Auto many times. They have always been fair, did good quality work and priced competitively. If you are looking for all the whistles and bells this is not the shop for you. But If you want to just get your car fixed this shop can do that. I recently had a problem with my 3500 pickup, the engine light came on and it would not shift out of low gear until I reached a very high RPM. They looked at the ... view moreproblem told me what they thought it was and advised that I take it to Monroe Transmission in Yuba City because they did not have any experience working on that problem with my vehicle. Monroe Transmissions diagnosed the problem, as a faulty Engine Light code and reset the Engine Light and sent me out the door. Every thing worked at no cost to me at Palmer`s or Monroe. I would recommend both.

Right hand doesn`t know what the left hand is doing over there!

I called them to explain the symptoms of my car problem. I thought it was the starter & he agreed. I explained I would purchase the starter myself, put it in the trunk & drop off my car with the keys in the drop-box. He quoted me a fair price to put the starter in & said it would be done by 10am the next morning. That night I dropped off my car as agreed. The next morning, around 9am, someone from the... view more shop calls me & doesn`t know what is wrong with my car & why it is there. Then I start explaining & he says he has to call me back with a quote for labor & parts. I explained the part was there & I was already quoted a price! He gets MAD AT ME & tells me he won`t garantee his work unless I give him an addtional $50 just to make sure the starter is the problem. Grr! I refused to pay any more money than already agreed! So he finally agrees to just do what I asked them to do in the first place. I picked up my car & they had written "no warranty on this job because the customer bought their own parts" all over my paperwork. They never mentioned that! Now my car is still having issues starting & I can`t take it back there because they won`t back up the work I already paid for! Note: My car was the ONLY car there for the day & the mechanics were all sitting around doing nothing when I was there. So I`m thinking they aren`t many other people`s favorite shop either.
