The sales staff here is great to work with!
After being treated like a fool by Car-Max in Bakersfield and feeling kinda sleazy when I left there.
My wife said, lets go to a VW dealer and see if they will offer us a fair value my 2500HD dura max diesel truck, very nice truck. Car-max offered me a sleazy $11k, and wanted to over charge me for a 2010, bottom line bug for $14.5 and it had 49k miles on it, aaaannnd! It h... view moread a problem with the steering column where you had to wiggle the steering wheel at the same time you wiggle the key. The sales girl said as is!
My truck was obviously worth more than their fixer and they knew it, but disrespectful in their offer anyway.
So we ended up at Family Motors, and I was still fuming from my car-max experience and just looking for any sign of sleaze ball sales tricks....and it NEVER happened!
From my first contact with the sales staff all the way to me driving my new car off the lot, I felt like I was winning the sales battle. Here`s the thing though, I never had to get up-set to be treated with respect and fairly. They just really care!
I ended up getting $15k for trade in, $4000.00 more than Car-max on my trade in, in house Volkswagen financing at 7.9%, plus extended warranty for 60 months on a 2012, 2.0L Turbo Beetle with 12k miles obit for right at $274 a month....and I`m buying!
Chuy and the finance dept just exceeded all my expectations, I thought I was going to have to fight to be treated fairly, and no fight was ever needed.
I`m still feeling like a winner and can`t say enough about Family Motors knowledge within their sales staff.
You have all restored my faith in a fair deal and service first oriented car dealer.
We love our new Beetle!!!!!

HORRIBLE customer service. I ...
HORRIBLE customer service. I bought my VW only two years ago, and it is now starting to fall apart already (rearview mirror falling off, headrest broken, etc) and of course none of that is covered under warranty even though I DID NOT BREAK IT! Not only that, but when I call to ask a question, I never get to speak to a person, its always voicemail. Today my rearview mirror literally fell off, and, since it is illeg... view moreal to drive without a rearview mirror, I called to try to get it fixed or for them to tell me how to fix it. It is now 5 hours later, and I STILL have not received a call. Quality wise, not worth the $300+ I pay every month. That, in addition to the horrible customer service, has made me decide to take my business elsewhere and trade in the vehicle. I do NOT recommend this place.

Great Customer Service
If you live in Bakersfield and need a new car you should check out these guys. I recently had to help my mom find a new car, she lives in Bakersfield and live in Orange County so I had to communicate with them by phone and email. Every call and email I placed was returned almost immediately. The inventory on their website was very accurate and the pricing posted was the pricing they quoted at the lot.
