I would say, stay far away from this place. If it looks like you saved a lot buying a car from there, they will get you when you take your car for the service. Never again will buy chrysler model just to avoid the dealership. Very dishonest and i tried to talk to the manager about the problem but was ignored. I took my van several times for some problem and they could not find anything and a month later when i took i... view moret again, they came up with bunch of problems. I was so relieved that found the problem, only to find out that my extended car warranty i had bought had expired a week before. You all know what kind of business will do this. i am so ready to trade my van to something that i can take it to any dealership but them.

I have a vehicle that is servi...
I have a vehicle that is serviced by a fleet company and must be taen to the dealership for warranty issues-forutnately I have found that I can take it elsewhere for future service needs. Here is why I will never take my vehicle back to Cole Dodge Chrsyer again:
Service writer (I will refrain from using his name) and very nice technician, Joe, went through write up of what should have been fixed on my vehicle. W... view moree agreed, since i was getting a new fleet vehicle in 2 weeks that the brake pad on the front end was cracked and should be replaced-hence why I came in to the dealership. However, this service manager rung up three other service charges(including an oil change that I had just done the week before from Jiffy Lube with sticker showing when it was next due-which they must have seen since they now replaced it with their sticker once they completed the oil change). None of these services were necessary, except the front brake pads and they never called me to let me know of the changes-bc "they do not have time" according to the service writer. Later, I found out from the fleet company that they had lied and told them that the last oil change i had was 8000 miles ago and there was no sticker in my car-Jiffy Lube ALWAYS has put a sticker on my car and I had just ahd the oil change less than a week before.
Because of the additional services that I did not approve or ask for (the service writer is given a commission off the services hence probalby the motivation of why they lied to the fleet company and did not keep me in the loop) my car was not completed until 430-though promised around 2. I had to drive my personal car all the way to Santa Maria for a sales call that I had scheduled because of the mishap-but nope service writer did not call to let me know-I had to call and ask if the car was ready at 215 and then was told a whole bunch of other services were being done to "keep me safe" and that it would be done by the end of the day. The service writer was very defensive and accusatory in tone which was a dead giveaway that something was not right here...but seeing as I have taken my car here before I was willing to ask some questions to figure out why communication is not very clear here-simply bc they are busy or bc there was deception-unforutnately it was the latter. Since Joe and I discussed that the back brakes did not need to be replaced for another 10k and I was getting a new vehicle in two weeks, I was upset and confused that I did not get a call with the update and then discussed why an oil change was not necessary. Basically they were caught lying, which I pointed out to the service maanager, I told him I was dissapointed because I had taken this vehicle there for years and I was dupped. He did not ask me to discuss in his office and seemed like he could care less and kept repeating with we will call you later to follow up and it was quite embarassing explaining my dissatisfaction in front of other customers. After all this, I still had to ask for credit on the oil change I never asked for-ugh it was really a horrible experience.
One side note, I overheard another service writer tell a man that he had fishing wire caught in his car and they had to remove it from his axle. Well, it must be a pretty common occurence because my service writer told me the same thing-huh weird conicidence or dishonesty-now I cannot tell for sure bc of the lies and deception but one thing is for sure- from the experience I have received here-please heed my warning BUYER BEWARE!

Not very organize
Went in for an appointment @ 10:30
Another guy came behind me for an 11:00 appointment
We were both in for same service but my car was not finished until 30 minutes later after the 11:00. Mike took my keys and placed them on the counter and went to check something else with another customer. The guy behind me was checked in right away even though his appointment was not until 11:00.
I don""t know why this bo... view morether me but it did and I have lost respect for the employees at Cole Chrysler in SLO
