I haven`t purchased a car from them, but I have used the service department on both of my BMWs. All I can say is WOW!! The service guys are great (Abe)!! Super friendly, very knowledgeable, helpful and willing to give the straight answers. Even the service manager (I can`t remember his name) is extremely helpful. I usually stay away from the dealerships, but this is an exception to my rule. This is a place you can trust. I was able to fix one of my problems myself, at a fraction of the price, but they have certain rules when they repair the cars that they have to follow, so I can`t fault them for that (I`m just glad I did a little research first:) ). Overall, I can trust what they tell me and rely on them to do the repairs correctly.

From my experience, both their service and sales departments are amazing! Everyone I have run into says the same thing. I am so glad to have a dealership so close to me that has great service!
As for the sales department, they are incredible. Shelden Flowers was our salesperson and did an incredible job. He was patient with us...not pushy. He knew what he was talking about and he wanted the best for us. We came in ... view moremultiple times which was probably annoying but he didn`t mind. He made sure we got the car we wanted and even made sure we had a fun time while car shopping! This was rare in my experience in car shopping! I am glad to say that "I love this place" and I would recommend EVERYONE to buy a car here...Especially from Shelden Flowers in sales!!

Absolutely one of the best ser...
Absolutely one of the best service departments I have ever dealt with! We purchased our Z4 in Bakersfield and subsequently moved to Palm Springs area. Palm Springs BMW was probably one of hte worst service departments I have ever worked with. I had heard good things about the Santa Maria dealership and, since I was working in the area, took my car to them to resolve an issue that had been recurring for nearly 4 ye... view morears. Santa Maria resolved it on the first visit. If it hadn`t been for the Santa Maria BMW Service Team, I would NEVER considered purchasing another BMW.

Unhappy so far with this dealer
We also used the internet to find a car with Santa Maria BMW and we are UNHAPPY. We purchased a Certified Used X3 from this dealer. We are from SoCal and we thought their price was worth the 3 hour drive to get the car. Mechanically, the car is good. Aesthetically, the car was poor. The car was very dirty when we test drove it even though we had put a deposit on the car 3 days earlier. The salesperson recognized that... view more and told us they would detail it. We gave them time to detail the car. When the car came back, the interior windows were still dirty enough to make it difficult to see out, there was food under the passenger seat, there was food in the back seat, there was still deteriorating shipping plastic on interior parts, and the car was still in need of good detail. In spite of this, we still bought the car since we have a very good detailer and would take the car to him for $175.
Performing the final check out, we were missing the users manual, floor mats, and second car key. They committed to sending us all three in the mail. The next week we followed up with them. The salesman said the floor mats were NOT included with the car. Oh well, we had to purchase those from a bmw dealer. Then, the salesman said he could not send us the second car key due to a BMW policy that we had to pick it up in person. We told him we live 3 hours away. He said it was policy and we had to pick it up in person due to security reason. Hummm, how did the key get to them - did a rep from BMW hand deliver?? Since they refused to send the second key, we asked them to at least send us the owners manual. We are still waiting and it has been 4 weeks. Upset, I finally decided to post this review to see if we can get an action from them.

community bmw is the real deal!
if you want a new or used car, you have to go to community bmw. our credit situation couldn`t get much worse but we just needed one last chance to prove ourselves. we`ve been to other dealerships and it was always a waste of time. they all wanted $5-7,000 down and wouldn`t even attempt to work with us. some wouldn`t even say goodbye to us after they ran the credit report. how rude can people get? i got on the intern... view moreet and one day i got an email from some guy that said he could help. i explained that i did not like to be pressured so i would email him when our long awaited taxes arrived.(of course we knew we would need to put something down!)being a victim of identity theft creates unheard of delays with the irs and so about once a month this guy would send me an email just to touch base.its a good feeling when somone knows your situation but still thinks your important enough to remember, so when our $3,000 came from the irs i called him. i told him what $$ we were working with and within 10 minutes he was telling me that we were approved for a car that was almost brand new.doubtful, we went down to sign papers and couldn`t believe it even after we drove off in our awesome car. loyalty is the only way we know how to repay jim, heath and the rest at community bmw so we bought our second car from them and we`ll continue telling friends and anyone else looking for a new car about our experience with these miracle workers.GO TO SANTA MARIA COMMUNITY BMW! they`ll make your dreams come true!
