I took my vehicle to Mc Lea`s to have my oil changed and my breaks checked. I did not know that there was a $70.00 fee to check the brakes. I was never asked to authorize that amount. I was asked to authorize over $2000.00 for all new rotors and pads. Little did Mc Lea`s know that I had the rear rotors warrentied less then 20000 miles ago. I asked Mc Lea`s if they were positive on thier assesment of the conditio... view moren of the brakes on my vehicle and explaind about the new rotors in the rear and the replied YES. I was appauled. I had a lond standing relationship with them and they tried to rip me off for over $2000.00. I did take my vehicle to a reputable shop in town and was told that my rotors did not need to be replace but that the front rotors were slightly warped and they shaved them down and my brakes are perfect and I only had to pay $50.00. This all happend over six months ago and my brakes are still fantasitic. If you value your dollar and the safety of your vehicle there are much better places to take your vehicle. Do not be suckered in by there low cost oil change. It`s what they have to offer in order to get any business. Tell your family and friends to beware of this place.
