Excellent Experience
I just bought a new 2012 Mazda 3, 5 Door and my purchase experience was great. As a Costco member, I registered through their car buying program and received a printed quote within hours of contacting the selected dealer and representative. Before purchasing this car I joked around that my perfect experience would be to go to Amazon, select the car, add to cart and the thguys would show up in a few days with my new c... view morear and a few papers to sign. Alicia Piper, the fleet sales manager made it almost that easy. I test drove a car and then did everything else by email. On the day of delivery I was in and out in an hour and fifteen minutes. A new record! AND, in addition, my interest rate was a half percent lower than I was originally quoted. So far, this has been the best car buying experience of my life. Thanks Alicia!

These Guys in Service Rock!
I have an 85 Mazda RX7 with the rotary engine and it is almost impossible to get anyone to work on it. When it failed smog I brought it in and dealt with John Anderson in service and the service tech- Jeremy. They bent over backwards to help me get the car in top running condition, even suggesting parts I could get and bring to them for cheaper than they could get them. The car runs like new and it passed smog today ... view morewith flying colors. I could not praise this service department enough for their friendly, prompt and helpful handling of my automotive issues. John Delucia (spelling?) who is the Service Department Manager, runs an excellent operation! I`ll be back for any future service needs....

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!
I would give them a 0 star rating if I could. AVOID this dealership!! They lie and deceit. It was HORRIBLE. Trust me, I bought two cars from AutoWest years ago and tried them again. Can`t believe the difference. Run, don`t walk to another dealership!! Believe these ratings. I am 45 years old and have bought many cars and this definitely was the worst I`ve ever dealt with.

CROOKED OPERATION - BBB RATING OF ""F""
Take your business elsewhere. I took my UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY car in for repair work for the faulty transmission for a ""diagnosis and resolution"" to the problem. The ""Service Advisor"" JD called me and told me ""the technician was able to duplicate an intermittent duplication of the problem and while they had the car hooked up to their computer AS they were test driving it they found the engine temperature to be ... view morerunning hot.... the thermostat was stuck open and was at 294 DEGREES!"" (lol, anyone who knows mechanics knows if a thermostat is stuck open the engine would run cooler, not hot AND if an engine hits 294 degrees, the engine is shot and they`d better replace that too) FURTHERMORE the service advisor stated ""the thermostat was ""stuck open"" and they were going to replace it and thats why the transmission was `slipping` "". Also he stated ""the transmission fluid is dirty"" (um yeah, if the engine got up to 294 degrees, the transmission fluid cooked, so of course it`s dirty...but what the service advisor DIDN`T know is I had JUST had a 30000 mile service done on it at another Mazda dealership, which included changing the transmission fluid). So I sprung that on him and watched him stammer and stutter and squirm in his chair then told him ""if in fact the thermostat was bad and caused the engine to overheat to ""294 degrees!"" then clearly the transmission fluid needs to be changed out AGAIN under warranty since this was a ""power train"" issue and the power train is under warranty and I DID just have the 30000 mile service done on my car so the fact that the transmission fluid is ""dirty"" after one week is no fault of my own. They did change out the tranny fluid, i`ll give them that HOWEVER, upon picking up my car, I was bold face lied to by not only the service advisor John D. but the SERVICE MANAGER Mark! The work order stated NONE of what they had said, nothing about the engine heating up to 294 degrees, nothing about the technician being able to duplicate the slipping of the transmission after they had already told us they they had duplicated the problem. When asked about it, the service advisor stated ""I never said any of those things....blah blah blah"". LIAR!!!! Furthermore, the service manager concurred with his lying service advisor implying I was a liar. When I stated I was going to make a ""phone call"" (meaning to corporate since I have a corporate case with Mazda) the service manager (Mark H.) said ""make as many phone calls as you`d like, i really don`t care"". After leaving there, my transmission kept slipping, so no resolution to my original problem which was the reason I brought it in to Autowest Mazda in the first place! Upon further examination of Autowest Mazda on the BBB website, they ARE NOT AN ACCREDITED BUSINESS with the BBB and have a rating of F on a scale of A to F!!! need I say more? RUN FOR YOUR LIFE, LIARS AND A CROOKED OPERATION, look for yourself. go to the BBB website and do a search under ""Autowest Mazda, Roseville, CA"".
