Finally, an honest mechanic! ...
Finally, an honest mechanic! I found Carriage Motor House through the AAA approved mechanics listing. I have been there several times for basic maintenance for my vehicle, but most recently for brake work on a second vehicle. The owner, Stephen, has years of experience and provides reliable and honest work. Our vehicle was originally taken to Pep Boys for a free brake check, which resulted in an estimate for over... view more $500 of repairs. Brought it to Stephen for a second opinion and found that unneeded repairs had been recommended. He not only beat Pep Boys price for the repairs performed, but came in lower than his original estimate. We highly recommend Carriage Motor House and will be bringing all of our vehicles there.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!! WHAT A RIP ...
TERRIBLE SERVICE!! WHAT A RIP OFF.... MY MOTHER WHO IS 76 YEARS OLD NEEDED HER BRAKES AND RODERS REPLACED THE OWNER WAS GOING TO CHARGE HER OVER $1200 AND TOLD HER SHE COULD MAKE WEEKLY PAYMENTS. SHE TOOK IT TO A REPAIR SHOP DOWN THE STREET AND HE QUOTED HER ONLY $400 FOR ALL 4 TIRES! NEVER GO HERE! YOU`VE BEEN WARNED...

First honest mechanic I`v met!
When I was told by Jiffy Lub I needed $600. worth of services on a used car I had just bought, I nearly fainted. I was refered to the Carriage Motor House by a freind. The mechanic showed me test strips and measurements. All I needed was a oil change. He will be my mechanic forever!!!!

Extremely Satisfied!
For the first time, I felt that a mechanic (besides my brother who is a very honest mechanic) actually had my best interest at heart. I didn`t feel as if I was being taken advantage of because I know very little about cars. The mechanic explained everything clearly and even offered many tips about my car, which I greatly appreciated. Getting my car serviced is always a little stressful because if I go to the dealersh... view moreip, where I usually go, I never come out just getting an oil change. I always feel as if I`m being pressured into getting something more because my car absolutely needs it. I always wonder how my car needs a major service every time I go in for an oil change when it`s a relatively new car (2004). However, I don`t want anything to happen to my car so I get it done. Then there`s the fear of going to a Walmart or Jiffy Lube and worrying that they won`t catch something I might need or worse, not do a good job. I felt neither thing when I went in this time. I left feeling I got exactly what I needed and then some for a reasonable price. I am very happy I did not go to the dealership this time and took a chance on this new mechanic (I found him through the AAA website). I will definitely continue to go to him and will be sending my husband and daughter there as well.

Honest!
I can`t beleive that there is still an honest mechanic around. This place is neat and clean. I bought a used auto and hasd it check out at the Honda speciality shop next door. I was told that the brakes needed replacement and only had 25% of the pads left, needed the transmission fluid changed and the coolant system flushed. On advise of a freind, THANKS JERRY, I took the car to Steve and he showed me, useing meete... view morers and measuring devices, explained to me that the sugested needed repairs were not needed. the brake shoes measured 8mm. thick., New ones are 14mm, thats not even 50% worn. He saved me over $400.00.
