HONEST reliable knowledgable

Mr. Cooper is an older man, with a lot of years of experience, i like his domestic car knowledge, like a ford van. He says his hourly is less than most which are uptown, I don`t know; all auto labor is high. As a former mechanic, I appreciated his willingness to explain exactly what he would do and had done, which labor or part cost what. He worked with me to plan to squeeze me in, a big help. He was willing to i... view morenstall parts I had already bought- RARE! Do you know that most shops charge you DOUBLE the retail for parts??? To me, that is wrong, a mechanic should be paid for labor, tools and shop. Parts stores sell mechanics parts wholesale, a huge break, then the shop doubles the RETAIL. Also, almost any part is available here in one day, due to our proximity to LA. Shops claiming your part isnt here are usually stalling for time, they book more work than can do if everyone shows up. I suggest when you know what parts will be required, go online and price them. If the shop quote is excessive, confront them. If they refuse, find a new shop. Of course they can`t match an online store or a parts store; they just need reasonable pricing. ASK before the job starts! Cooper is NOT one of those places. He is a bit hard to understand sometimes, but his forgetfulness is an act as you will see, he knows and remembers exactly what you wanted and he did. RECOMMENDED! Do your research, there are many good shops and many very bad ones. The BUREAU of AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR, state agency, packs a surprising punch, just a mention can improve a problem with a shop. marques
