Don`t believe your initial quote

I called around to a few transmission repair places in regards to by 2002 Hyundai Accent. I spoke to Tom at Highway Transmission who was very nice and quited me a price of $750. He said if I needed other parts that the price could go up. He explains all the parts (like I am an auto mechanic) and then shows you pictures. On his clipboard he has a picture of Jesus on the cross. I wonder does he really believe what ... view morehe has a picture of.

If he did believe he would be more truthful with people when they take their car to his place of business for repair. If he would have been up front and truthful and say the cost of my vehicle would be about 1400 - 1800 then I would have had more faith in his garage. But that was not the case. I am truly upset at what they quote and what the actual price is. Please know that if you are quoted anything less than $1000 it is not correct and your car WILL cost you approximately $1500.

Not to Tom at Highway Transmission, be honest with hard working people who need their vehicles to get to and from work just like you need their business to feed your family!

This was truly upsetting and I would never take my car there or refer anyone else.

WHY IS IT SO HARD TO GET AN HONEST MECHANIC. OR IS THE PHRASE ""HONEST MECHANIC"" THE PROBLEM IN ITSELF.

advocate for closing bad shops

The worst repair shop in Los Angeles,. My car was in the shop for 74 days for tran repair and still is fixed correctly. The shop lost my keys, damaged the interior and exterior of my car, approx. $4000 in damages
