Silly mistakes they should know better
In the morning I saw oil spots on the ground the day after my oil change. Took it in they had forgotten to do something they tell me is called a wash down (I guess the filter when removed drips oil down on the pan). This cost me time the next morning and it is something that should not happen if they simply make sure they do their job and not miss anything and make silly mistakes.

Watch these guys like a hawk!
Oh, I forgot to mention below, I asked for 5-30 oil and they put in 10-30 oil. Not sure that this will affect the vehicle, but it shows they don`t listen.
Oh, and all the upselling they tried, lying about my vehicle being low on all the fluids?
On the invoice, under Services Checklist, they stated that all fluids were full. And told me verbally they were dry. Oh my god. These people are either idiots, or t... view morehey think every customer walking in their door is.
Check your paperwork before talking to them. Then stick it in their face when they lie to you.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dropped my car off at EZ Lube expecting to be in and out. They pulled all my filters out and told me I needed 5 things changes (all which did NOT need changing/fixing). I was planning on making a drive from San D. to Arizona for a family emergency two days later.
The day I left for Arizona my car was smoking nonstop for hours. I thought, maybe they just spilled some oil on the engine, annoying, but no biggy. THEN ... view moremy car was smoking so bad I could barely breath and it wasn`t accelerating at all and died on me. Went from 80mph to 20mph in seconds so I pulled over.
Had to have my car towed from Alpine (GRRRRR) to San Diego. Had to pay a small fortune for a private mechanic to come to my house and assess. They told me whoever did your last oil change put about 10quarts of oil in your car when it only takes 4!!!!!!!!!!! Oil had spilled all over my engine bay! The heat from the smoke caused several parts in my car to melt and clog hence why it didn`t accelerate.
Took it back to EZ Lube and they wouldn`t reimburse me for my oil change. They wouldn`t even clean the engine from all the oil that spilled! I asked to speak to their manager. Said there was no manager that day. I left my information and demanded their manager call me. Never did.
My check engine light has been on ever since. I could SCREAM! NEVER GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dishonest Beware Stay Away Please
I too went in for an oil change. I live close by and have used them before and received coupons in the mail. I was use to being manipulated and pressured by them, but often times refused all their extra "suggestions" that jacked my bill up to $150 or $200, and insisting that i only wanted an oil change, where then the smooth talking mechanic ie (deal closer) would reply, "they charge even more at the dealership". I s... view morehrugged those remarks off and said calmly "that I only wanted an oil change". They then asked If I wanted a new air filter? I asked to be shown my current air filter (knowing that it had recently been changed). I followed the charlatan out to the garage and was then told "that the current filter could last a little longer but that they did sell a lifetime warranty on their special air filters. I said I would pass and wandered back to the waiting room. I waited for 30 minutes or so before I got anxious. I went to the garage and asked if my car was done. The manager approached me and beckoned me away from my car. He said they were just cleaning up a few things and it would be ready in another 10 minutes. I walked over to the Sombreros across the street and got a taco and ate it. When I got back, my SUV was done and I paid my bill and drove home. The next morning I walked out to my garage and noticed that my hood was not sitting flush on my car body. I opened my hood and discovered the struts that held my hood up were damaged ie bent, as if one of the mechanics slammed the hood down while a service hose was still under the hood causing harm to the hydraulic struts. I immediately drove over to the Ez lube and told the manager. He phoned the corporate office and sent someone out. The guy looked at it and said "since I left the premises they were not held liable". I was saddened deeply because I kept my Jeep in immaculate shape and was positive that the damage was caused by the mechanic. Needless to say I do not use them anymore.
