Spent $3500 on repairs here. Will NEVER return
I decided to take my car here based on its convenient location and some great reviews. I was very impressed at first, with Todd, the owner. He was very friendly, personable and I left feeling like I was in good hands. When they called to tell me what was wrong with my car, they assured me that if I spent the money for a new timing belt and the money to fix what was wrong with my car, I?ˆ™d easily get another 100,000 mi... view moreles out of my older car. With some hesitation of over $3,000 worth of repairs, I finally agreed to the work, knowing that my car would be under warranty with them for a year if the work didn?ˆ™t hold. A few months later, something else went wrong with my car and I had to bring it back in for another $400 worth of repairs. Repairs that they told me ?ˆ?if you want your car to run, you have to do this?ˆ?. So after spending around $3500 with this place, I ended up having to bring it back in because the original problem was back. I made an appointment for 9am with a 1:30 pick up. When I called at 1pm after not hearing from them, they told me they forgot to look at my car. They then claimed they couldn?ˆ™t find what was wrong with my car (because they had my car for 4 hours and only spent 2 minutes with it.) I felt like I was completely taken advantage of here because I am a young woman. I felt like they could have cared less about the $3500 I spent with them, or that their original repairs didn?ˆ™t hold. The owner is a very nice man, but mostly everyone else who works there is very unfriendly and unwelcoming. I will never be returning to this place.

Expensive and Shady
As the saying goes, ""fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me."" I have to say shame on me for giving these guys the benefit of the doubt. Everytime they have worked on my car the repairs have been mediocre and expensive, and something major goes wrong within a week. I have a co-worker who experienced the same problems. A Place That You Can honestly Trust
Let me just say that I have used GRAR (Gold River Auto repair) for over 5 years now along with multiple vehicles and I have never had a bad experience with them. They are very honest, friendly and respectful.

The BEST Auto Repair Place In Town!!!!!
Truly, I cannot say enough good things about this auto repair place (and I am not usually a fan of any)! They are honest, dependable, reasonably priced, and EXTREMELY kind!!! My husband had a new air conditioning compressor put in our van without knowing that our vehicle was still under warranty! The bill was a little over $900 (which was almost half of what the dealership would have charged!). Extremely sketchy place, will steal your $
I had my alternator go out on me last year and they quoted me $300-$400 including labor, when I came back to pay that cost had somehow doubled and I was forced to pay it. The problem was never fixed and I had gone back twice to have them fix it properly which they just can`t seem to do. My car still has the same whining problem and they tell me that the belt has to be tightened or loosened every time the temperatur... view moree changes. Excuse me?? I paid $750 for you to fix my car and you gave me a bad belt or don`t know what is even going on with my car?? I`m also finding out now that tightening the belt is extremely harmful for the car and the whining problem with the bad alternator they probably gave me will also allow the new one to fail soon. They are just trying to steal my money, and I`m a college student!
Another story I found about just today...
My boyfriend`s family`s Ford Taurus transmission went out nearby and he had to go there to get it fixed. They told him it was going to be $3,500!! That`s half the value of the car!! Fortunately, he was able to call them out on that absurd price and they instead charged $1200 including the labor. He knew that place was horrible but it was the only thing nearby without calling a tow truck. I say call the tow truck, never ever go to this awful place.

At last, A shop that truly cares about you and your vehical.
I took my SUV to Gold River Auto Repair and got treated like my business really mattered. I was welcomed by the owner (Todd Shaw) and all of his staff. I felt like I was home with family.
They go out off their way to make sure you leave there feeling good about the service.

Todd tries to shake every customers hand and his staff welcomes you and takes the time to fill you in and explain to you in terms that you can understand the problem with your vehicle, they also treat you with respect and let you know that they appreciate your business.
