Toyota Head Rebuild

I needed my cylinder head rebuilt and called/ visited some local machine shops. Sacramento Cylinder Head per our phone conversation sounded very much like they knew their business. They offered me a wholesale price which was lower than anyone else, also they would "set up the head" This is a process that others wanted to charge extra for. The job was completed as agreed, they had replaced all of the exaus... view moret valves one was defective and they considered the others suspect. The threaded studs remained in place as my mechanic had requested. Also the manager suggested I verify the EGR, OX senser and other fuel components were operating properly. The problem with the head [Toyota 2.4] he thought, was the mixture was too lean and the valves overheated. The price was low and fixed, extra charges are unusual, per the manager. I brought the head to my mechanic he rechecked the set up clearances and declared them perfect. Also he said he has never has received a rebuilt head that was set up or with the studs in place? I feel the $375 was money well spent, the truck now runs perfect, the EGR was defective [the manager was correct]. I had to drive 50 miles each way to the shop and I am completely satisified with the service.
