Transmasters on Miramar Road

i have been very fortunate to locate TransMasters on Miramar Road. When my Honda hit the 100,000 mile mark and my Honda warranty expired, I went to Poway Honda to price a complete 105,000 mile service. Their price was $2400. I located TransMasters in the Yellow Pages and went to their shop (with Honda`s list of services to be performed) and spoke with Sam Muniraj, the manager. He was very knowledgeable and explained ... view morein detail the requisite service to be performed- his list of necessary service was more extensive than Poway Honda`s and included such items as complete brake and transmission fluid flushing in addition to the usual timing belt and water pump replacement and other hoses/fluids. His price was $1150. Needless to say, I chose him and was very happy with the service rendered. I have used his service several additional times (power steering rack and master brake cylinder replacement, brake job) and recommend him very highly. I simply do not believe the one negative review of his services, particularly when negative statements are attributed to him. Negative statements do not represent his true character.

Great Service, Honest & Respectable

Any time you go somewhere you`ve never been before you have concerns especially when dealing with your car...especially when you don`t really know much about cars. I was referred to Sam and Transmasters and they did not disappoint me. I was debating on buying a new car or get my transmission rebuilt. Sam took a test drive with me and explained to me my options in words that I can understand. I didn`t feel any pre... view moressure and he was very straight forward with me. They had my car for 3 days as he mentioned. I`ve been driving my car for almost 2 weeks and my car feels like its brand new. I went back today for a check-up per their recommendation to make sure everything is where it needs to be and it was. I have a warranty on it as well as long as i brought it in after driving it for a week. All in all i`m happy with the decision to get my car fixed and have Sam and the team to do it. They are honest and I felt comfortable there. I saw there was a complaint on one of the reviews and they seem shady and looking for money. It saddens me when great people and a good business who tries to do right can get slammed by people who are only out for themselves. I highly recommend Sam and Transmasters. They are personable and easy to talk to. I will be taking my car here for my oil change and will refer to all my friends and family. Thanks Sam for making me feel safe to drive my car again!

Honest & Reliable

This has been our family auto service shop since I can remember. Growing up in San Diego, whenever we`ve had any issues with our cars, we`ve always taken it to Transmasters. I`ve since moved to Orange County, but still only trust Sam at Transmasters. I own a 2001 Nissan Maxima. I recently (27k miles ago) had Transmasters redo my transmission and its still running great at 121k.

I highly recommend Transmasters. You won`t find a more honest and straight forward auto service shop.

Transmasters built a quality transmission and guaranteed it for 2 years and 24,000miles. 66796 miles and 3 years later, with NO maintenance services, Ms. Rasoul has posted a damaging complaint that even states the repairs made by Transmasters are not related to her problems. Further, she wants a full refund plus ?ˆ?$1000 in damages due to negligence for buil... view moreding a transmission that EXCEEDED the warranty by more than 40,000 miles! Transmasters has offered to repair the vehicle for parts cost only, provide free labor, in order to provide customer satisfaction. Per Customer this is not enough! Transmasters provides quality repairs and tries very hard to please their customers.

This place is NOT good! They shouldn`t even get one star!

Transmasters told me a complete transmission overhaul was necessary for my vehicle. They kept my vehicle in their shop for 10 days and when I got my car back they had put over 500 miles on it! They simply said it took that many to drive test it to ensure it was working correctly. They also could not get the check engine light to ever go off and claimed it was probably a computer or electrical error that would cost me... view more even more to fix. Just to be safe I purchased the 24 month/24,000 mile extended warranty. Less than a year later I began to notice shifting issues when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear but I had moved up to Orange County. Since Transmasters claims to be part of the ATRA I contacted a local ATRA shop since they are bound together by the so called ""golden rule warranty"". DON`T be fooled this warranty does not exist unless you actually receive a certificate! I didn`t know this at the time and took my vehicle to two different transmission shops in my area Tustin Transmission in Tustin Transmission Masters in Santa Ana. Apparently neither shop wanted to deal with it because I was told by both of them that the problem was not transmission related. This was false but I didn`t know it at the time! This year I moved back to San Diego& the problem is getting even worse. Several shops charged me for what they claimed was the problem but never fixed it! It has now been about 3 years since the transmission rebuild and according to the paperwork it is out of it`s 2 year/24,000 mile warranty, but I decided I would give Transmasters the opportunity to make all of this right! I took my vehicle back in to their shop drove test it with them and they AGREED it was a problem with the transmission! I then showed them the paper trail of history and struggle I had since leaving their shop hoping they would do the right thing and honor my original warranty, however I was denied! I was basically told to pound sand by both the Manager Sam Muniraj and supposed ""customer relation rep"" Dave Stall. I am now going to attempt to take them to small claims court and hope to get all or some of my money back. It`s been a complete nightmare! Also FYI they are not recognized by the BBB and have a score of a D- because of other complaints and license expirations! BEWARE!!!

Honest Auto Repair

I brought my vehicle here from a recommendation from another auto repair facility. My check engine light was on and indicating my transmission was faulty. These guys gave me several repair options. They gave me prices for three different scenarios; (1) repair only what they visibly see as needing repair, (2) have them rebuild the rtranny, or (3) have the dealer rebuild the tranny. We opted for them to repair it, ... view morebecause there was no extra warranty offered from the dealer. They ""rebuilt"" my transmission. They gave a fair price and were upfront about all of the associated costs. They even showed me a few other things that may cause problems in the future. ""Sam"" was a stand-up guy and even gave me a military discount. So far, the car is running as promised. I`d recommend them to anyone having transmission problems.
