Jimmie Johnson himself should be embarrassed
Chevy`s a great brand, but where you buy one matters. Some customers report a good experience at this dealership, but we had a very bad one - and it goes on, and on. In fact, looking at other review sites it appears that we are not alone. We were treated shabbily by the sales group, and once the deal was done the service department made it even worse. Grim

Hurry up and Wait
Thank goodness for our insurance company who had a low price on the vehicle we were looking for. The sticker on the lot had a price more than $4,000 what our insurance company`s internet quote was. The final price was still too high, so to "sweeten" the deal, our salesman tried to throw in two detailings for the vehicle. When I said one and an oil change with a full check up he agreed, then when I asked fo... view morer the paperwork, he said they were giving me my free detailing right now. REALLY?? I expect before I pay for the car that DOES NOT cover a car that had been detailed three days prior when it was traded in. Also, I think they really didn`t want to honor the internet price, because we had to wait FOREVER! When I mean wait, we had a deal locked in at 5:30pm, and couldn`t drive away with it until 8:30pm - a full 2 1/2 hours after they closed on a Sunday night. It wasn`t our financing, we were paying cash. I understand an hour or two to process the paperwork with a trade-in I had the title for in-hand, but to just wait and wait, and after two hours - they started out paperwork for the state. I thought stuff was really just slow, but the more I read about their customer service, the more I think Jimmie Johnson needs to take a bit more interest in how his dealership is run. I know he wins a lot of NASCAR races, but with such a public face, you would hope his PR people would make sure other people walking around with his name on their shirts wouldn`t be so shady in their dealings. I did wait it out and got the car at nearly the price I was looking for, but it sure was painful.

Bait and Switch
Buyer beware! Dan was our salesman. He took us around and showed us some trucks, often speaking reputation of JJ Chevy`s integrity, commitment to customer service, attention to customer satisfaction, blah, blah , blah. We found a truck we liked and decided to see if we could take it to have our mechanic check it out and to check out the book value on it. He agreed. We went in to talk with the sales manager Joa... view moren. She printed out a sheet with the info on it and seemed surprised when we said that the price on there wasnt` the same as the price on the car - but said nothing more about it. Dan (standing right there) said JJ Chevy would honor that price, regardless if they`d made a mistake, b/c it`s ""the right thing to do"". Joan basically confirmed but she said she couldn`t allow us to take the truck tonight b/c of some rule not allowing vehicles out overnight. We said ok. We said we`d be back tomorrow.... We arrived right at 830am for opening. We were quickly informed that there had been a mistake on the lot and that the $16740 price was really $19740. Ooops, there bad - but an ""honest mistake"". We reminded them how they`d said they`d honor the quoted price, but they quickly back pedaled and said its not possible. We were not happy with this response. We were talking with our salesman Dan and Kevin (who had been selling the woman a car the night before but somehow already knew all the details of our situation). Kevin informed us that 2 vehicles last night had errors on them last night, one being the woman who he was selling a car to (went from 16K to 21k, but she was coming back that day to buy it for 19k) and ours. It was the first time in the 4 years he`d been there that he`d seen it happen - what a coincidence!! We asked them why they hadn`t called us last night to tell us of the error or that morning (and save us the trip and time outta our work days) and they said they`d just realized it that morning. They said they needed to talk to Joan to see what she could do, but she wouldn`t be able to honor our original price. She was in a meeting and we`d have to wait. I informed them I felt they`d pulled a bait and switch and that i`d file a complaint with the BBC, write up reviews on all the boards, tell as many people as i could, and file a complaint with the CA consumer affairs dept. They said they cared and wanted to make it right but sure didn`t act like it. We waited for ~30 minutes for Joan, who quickly informed us that after we`d left she had discovered 4 vehicles with wrong sticker prices and that this ""happens sometimes"". She quickly had to go talk to her boss across the room to see what they could do. We sat there while she stood there for 15 more wasted minutes before we got fed up and finally left. She called me 5 minutes afterwards and said they could do it for 18.8K. I told her we weren`t interested in dealing with them and we felt they`d pulled a classic ""bait and switch"". She claimed it was just an honest oversight on there part, but we could still trust them. She told me she`d been doing this for 18 years and never lies ""may god strike me dead"". I informed her if god was gonna strike her dead for lying she`d probably died many years ago. All three of the sales team we dealt with had different stories. At least come up with the same back story to have some semblance of credibility (it happens often / it never happens; the one guy had rectified the situation with his sale from the night before but they didn`t tell us there was an error with our until we arrived that morning?!) I will never consider going back to JJ chevy for business ever again, nor will alot of other people I`ve told. Well maybe just once show them the brand new Ram 1500 I bought from next door and say you`ve lost more than just one sale. No hard feelings
