PEP BOYS IN CORONA ON MAIN, DO NOT GO THERE WORST PLACE TO GO, TOOK OUR CAR IN FOR THERMOSTAT AND PAID FOUR HUNDRED, AND NOW THEY SAY WE NEED ANOTHER ONE AFTER ONLY FOUR MONTHS AND WANT THREE HUNDRED DOLLORS TO REPLACE IT, MANAGER SAID "WELL THAT`S THE WAY IT IS" . YOU CAN ONLY GUESS THEY`RE USING USED PARTS, SOOOO DO NOT TAKE YOUR CARS TO THAT PEP BOYS "NEVER"

Terrible Service

I give up calling this location. Every time I call the hold time is at least 20-30 minutes and the staff is not helpful. I attempt to call Pep Boys first because their parts run a little less on price but I would rather pay an extra $10-$20 knowing I will get great service. I eventually hang up. I have always gone to Autozone but the particular part I need Autozone does not carry which is a first for me in 10 years. ... view moreThis time around I will be ordering my parts from Rock Auto as they are actually more cost effective than Pep Boy, Autozone and O`Reilys!

pep boys grrrrrrrrrrr

I have spent thousands getting my car repaired over the last two years. I went to pep boys in Aug of 09 because the car was dieing while I was driving and first I was told that it was the battery, had that changed, then I was told it was the alternator, had that done, then I was told it was the electrical in the steering column, had that done....so in feb of 10 I had had enough and I took it to the pepboys in corona ... view morethe car still had the problem and then i was told it was three other things. had those fixed, still had problem continued. finally i was told it was the starter, they fixed that on their dime. While I had it there I also had them to look at the steering pump as it was squealing when I turned. I had no problems turning just the noise. They told me it was the power steering pump so I agreed to have it fixed.. they also suggested that I have the serpatine belt replaced since they would be working in that area that I wouldn`t be charged additional labor they also said that I needed another part replaced (can`t remember the name) and I did that as well. It cost me $700+ in addition to the $900+ I already had paid. A couple days later I returned because I was unable to steer the car at all. the replaced the pump after having the car for nearly 2 days. Since then they have replaced the pump 4x and the serpatine belt has fallen off while I am driving 9x. Every time I bring it back they give me a different reason for this happening and now they are saying that it is possibly something else..... lastly I still have a problem steering and they are now saying that it is my rack and pinion. I am very angry..... I am so tired of this. I have 6 kids and need my van. I have had a lot of medical issues and surgeries this year and need my car to get to doctor appointments. I have also been told that because there has been so much towing that my axel on my car is going out. I know I have an old car but this is ridiculous!!! I feel like I have been taken advantage of! Please help I need my car reliable again! Please never get your car repaired here! Oh and if you make them mad they will talk about what a BIT&& you are in the garage.
